Came here for our anniversary dinner and everything was pretty spectacular. Cozy setting, rustic feel, and just perfect for a... date night. The service was stellar. Our servers were attentive and courteous. The manager is gracious and friendly. We orderedappetizers which included their thick cut bacon and sliders - both were amazing. I ordered their organic Scottish salmon and myhubby ordered their cowboy steak. Both were cooked to perfection. Presentation and taste both get a solid 10/10. The only thingI wasn't a fan of is their bread and butter that comes before the appetizers I think they could do much better on their breadfor sure since that is the very first impression and it felt like a burger bun lacking depth and flavor. This can definitely beworked on. Even though we were stuffed we went for their peaches and cream cheesecake which came with peach gelee and gingercaramel sauce - the cheesecake was nice but nothing to write home about, would love to try their chocolate cake or their Greekorange cake which we saw on the menu. Next time I guess. We were already talking about coming back to Rail's next month for adate night because the main course was SO GOOD. A great place for a special occasion. Decor: Modern Rustic with cathedral ceilings. Very impressive multi level (even a... speakeasy) with well placed appointments. Arrival Experience: definitely First in class with complimentary valet. Very wellexecuted and expeditious. Food: Top notch and flavorful. Nothing was disappointing. Every course came out on time and what wasreally extraordinary was that for our party of 10, every course came out together and at temperature. Really well executed.Presentation was spot on. And OMG the Rubs were INSANE!! NOTE: side portions are large and plentiful. Cocktails: were good butnot curated as was my expectation. Service: was very attentive especially the hospitality from the management. The younger staff(runners) could use a bit more training and polish however it did not blemish the experience. This place is immaculate with great atmosphere. The service is amazing from the moment you walk in till you leave. Came here... for my husband’s birthday, glad I did. The steaks are made to perfection. Have the crab cake as appetizer you will not bedisappointed it’s a burst of flavors. Finished the evening with the 10 layer chocolate cake. It was way more than both of uscould have handled but absolutely delicious. Will return again, definitely recommend. Read more
Fantastic. Great food, large portions and outstanding staff.. I ordered the St. Louis ribs and they were cooked to perfection,... best ribs I ever had. My wife had the braised rib ravioli which were very good. We ordered the spinach in garlic and oil as aside dish and it was outstanding. Highly recommended for those who love great food in a great atmosphere. Read more
I loved the service and the ambiance of this place ! It really is a buzzing place you can find everyone and anyone ranging from... couples, groups of friends, to families with kids ! Service is excellent: polite staff, timely service (appetizers and maincourses appropriately paced) and manager makes rounds to ask about overall experience. Food: quality sourced ingredients, steakwas done perfectly medium rare. I was contemplating of nocking down one star for chewy octopus ???? and sides which were lackingflavor, however quality of service and very good cocktails more than made up for the flaws. Read more
We hosted my sisters Bridal Shower at Rails and it was beyond anything we could have imagined. Pat Leone was a phenomenal... coordinator, helping every step of the way and ensuring everything took off the day of. The staff was extremely attentive andwent above and beyond for each guest. The wine cave was extremely cool and the guests absolutely loved the atmosphere andexperience. Couldn't have gone any better! Read more
Ever gone to a steak house and asked for medium and got medium well? Yea, that's never going to happen here. Rails does... everything right every time. The food is phenomenal, the drinks are impeccable and the atmosphere is remarkably charming. Yetthe best part might be the service! The manager came to our table 3 times to check in and make sure we were okay. We look a bityounger so the fact that he cared that much made us feel good. And our server (this time Matt) was incredible. I'd put Rails upagainst almost any other steak house and feel confident that they would come out on top. There's also a speak easy down stairswhich has a library wall that you actually have to pull a book out of to open it up - just saying... Important info: it isvalet optional, there is coach check, attire ranges from casual to formal, price can be as expensive as you want but basicallyright in line with normal steak houses (good value). For my ratings; food is 4.7 out of 5 & drinks are 4.5 out of 5, overallranking is 4.7 out of 5 and a must visit NJ. Read more
Came here for girls night out/ birthday dinner. Rails has a very nice vibe. It’s clean, airy, and has lots of great flow to... it. The service is on the slower side but it def allows you to enjoy the food without a waiter hovering over you. Our waitresswas accommodating and polite. We ordered the crab cake, watermelon salad, tuna tartar, thick cut bacon, lobster tail, tomahawk,blue cheese potatoes , Brussels and baked potato. The tuna tartar was an absolute hit and spectacular, it is a must try. Thewatermelon salad had a phenomenal combination of ingredients which really left a refreshing taste before our tomahawk. Thetomahawk was slightly over cooked ( we ordered medium rare and it was more medium). The blue cheese au gratin was so unique andalso a must try if you are a blue cheese lover! After dinner, we checked out the speakeasy downstairs which was pretty awesome!We did not stay, however it had a wonderful vibe and looked fun! Read more
