Many people said the Greens were not in the best shape with the exception of two greens they were in good shape. Best part, I... left $250 pair of sunglasses in the cart. They were found and mailed to me, no charge, 2 days after. Great customer service!!! Read more

Great course as u would expect. Visually beautiful, fairways butter only down side are the greens. Greens pretty torn up from... what looks like winter damage you can tell they are working at it but would like to play again once the issue is fixed. Wouldlike to see in the future updated carts thats about it. Would highly recommend playing this course Handicap 6 Read more

This is the place. Top 3 public course in the state but haven't played the other two. Conditions were great. Staff is some of... the best and very friendly. Played on a Saturday afternoon and ranger was very busy with slow play/drunk players. Read more

A great track, & one of the best in MN IMHO. It is especially beautiful in the Fall period with the colors changing. So far this... year, the greens have been in terrible condition. Disappointing. Read more

I've played this course almost every summer for the past decade. It's a gem. I've been debating whether I should play The... Wilderness or Giant's Ridge when I'm in the area next week. The most current reviews at this course, within the past month, areoverall very average. The main criticism appears to be related to the condition of the greens. I'm a habitual user of GoogleMaps. The review system is among the most reliable ones out there. That being said, I rarely leave reviews for anything ? goodor bad. What caught my attention with the most recent reviews at The Wilderness is how the negative ones go without a responseby the owner, but the positive ones do. If anything, it should be the other way around. It's obvious that management is lookingthe other way when on the receiving end of candid criticism. The point is that when course conditions aren't commensurate withthe expensive green fees, then reduce the green fees. It's not that hard. Be transparent about the conditions of the grass.Inform prospective players when the course doesn't look anything like all the rosy pictures online. Read more

Very beautiful course right behind the casino with gorgeous views from the club house. Very scenic course right off the first... tee. Large rock walls, dramatic drops, and water throughout. The fairways and bunkers were well kept, but the greens could usesome TLC. I did thoroughly enjoy my round and loved all the holes. Great place to play and would definalty reccomend it. Read more
