If your ever in Townsend Tennessee and want some excellent food at reasonable prices, come to this place. My wife and I spent a... couple days in Townsend, another great place to stay, and had breakfast and lunch here. I always get the fish sandwich, IMO oneof the best sandwiches on their menu. Why 5 stars? I find no faults. Good stop for a multi-generational family. Food: I had the LeConte burger with generous amount... of lettuce tomato, onions, and pickles. I shared some fries that were golden brown perfect. It hit the spot. Service: fast andfriendly. Cleanliness: clean tables, helpful staff, clean bathrooms. Unique: The condiment cow is hilarious (See photo). Thecountry store/gift shop is co-located with the restaurant and there is an outdoors store across the parking lot. The food is AMAZING! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is incredible. Sit on the porch and enjoy the beauty... of the mountains, serenity of the birds singing in the distance, and the smell of the smoker as the meat cooks. It's been a while since I've stopped here. The food is always good at the cafe and there's always something good in the general... store. Excellent! Very friendly staff and delicious food! A bit pricey, but it was great! The only weird thing is you seat yourself... but there?s no menus on the tables so you have to go to the register, get a menu, go to your seat to figure out what you want,then go back up to the register with the menu to order. We went to a festival and stopped last minute to eat here. The most friendly small cafe. We ordered burgers and fries. The... sidewinders (fries) might be the best fries I have ever eaten. Delicious! The burgers were good but nothing special. We willdefinitely eat there again but try different sandwiches, maybe BBQ, it looked yummy. The loaded potato salad was really good.Highly recommend giving this place a try. Read more
