Chateau Grand Traverse is a fun stop for good, reasonably cheaper priced wines. They have a large patio area as well as their... tasting counter. Typically a long line, opt for a glass to head outside and skip the tasting line. Read more

My boyfriend and I went to a few wineries in the area and Chateau Grand Traverse was by far the best experience that we had... while touring the area. The young man who had helped us was beyond nice and extremely knowledgably about the wine. Around theback of the building is a beautiful overlook of the lake and a lot of the vineyard which I also recommend walking over too. Weare definitely coming back next time we are in the area. Would 100% recommend. Read more

Very impressive. At first we were skeptical based on the location of it and the very young people tending to the wine tasting,... but boy do they know their stuff! Very knowledgeable about wine, GREAT wine. This was definitely our top choice out of the threewineries we went to (chateau Chantal and 2 lads) Read more

Great time at the Chateau. The inn is beautiful and amazing to stay at right on winery grounds 100 yds from the tasting room. ... Joe & Hannah were very knowledgeable and informative of the wines. Great place to stay and enjoy a weekend in Traverse City Read more

This is one of the only places if not the only place left that does actual wine tasting on Mission Point. Everywhere else is... doing expensive wine "flights". At Grand Traverse, it is still only $10 to taste 5 wines AND you get to keep the glass (also theonly place still doing this). They have great wines and still have some wine left of their 2016 Gamay Noir which is one of themost unique tasting wines I've had. They have friendly staff and a good ambiance. Overall a great place! Read more

This place has a very sophisticated ambiance. Everything about it was very meticulous and clean. The wine tasting was the best... that we had in Traverse City. The cherry wines were especially unique and noteworthy. We also took a guided tour of thevineyards and winery, which were amazing. The guide was very patient with all of our questions and really took the time toexplain and elaborate on everything that he could. Read more
