We love Poppycocks and try to go at least once every other month. The food and service are always great! We?re always happy and... satisfied when we leave. The only negative thing I have to say is that I didn?t absolutely love my Parmesan crusted whitefish.The cheese was hard to cut through with my fork and the taste overpowered the fish rather than complementing it. My girlfriend and I had a date night here. I had the best steak I?ve ever had in my entire life! She had the chicken confit. She... says the chicken was stupendous! The atmosphere is really exciting and the front of house hostess was very welcoming. It?sobviously pricey but well worth it! Decent beer selection. I think they could add more local brews but that?s only my opinion.This spot can be very busy so be aware of that. It?s well worth the wait though. The server we had was very helpful andinformative. Went to Poppycocks on a trip to Traverse City. Waitress wasn?t rude but definitely wasn?t friendly. She definitely didn?t make... us feel welcome at the restaurant. She was very busy but we had a waitress at another restaurant the night before who was busybut friendly. Food was slight above average but priced high (low 30s for each meal). The good news is portions were plenty soyou shouldn?t go hungry at this restaurant. Unwelcoming waitress. High prices. Slightly above average food. Large portions. Most likely won?t be back when visiting traverse city. Read more
Amazing meal tonight at Poppycocks! We had the pita and dips for an app, vegetarian stuffed pepper entree, and key lime pie for... dessert. Absolutely incredible flavor in everything. My (meat eater) husband said ?I never thought a stuffed pepper could tastethis good.? And the key lime pie was by far the best we?ve ever had. Service was great as well! Amazing fooodd! I'll be honest, I just came here for their desserts but I felt weird just ordering that so I ordered an... appetizer, which was the pita bread things and oh my god those pita bread thingies were freshhhhhhh and so great! I didn'texpect them to work with the salsa dip but they did. Of course the desserts were great too! And the price wasn't that badeither!! Read more
This place is located in the center of downtown Traverse City. The place is cozy and has friendly staff. We ordered an spicy... fries appetizer the chicken soup and tomato basil they were great! I got a burger it was a bit dry, kids got a pasta plate andthey enjoyed it. Be ready to pay. Read more
Casual and slightly noisy atmosphere but beautiful food and service. Had a reservation, showed up 15 minutes early and seated... immediately. Cocktails and food were deserving of a Michelin star. Short ribs and confit chicken were the best version theycould be. Decent selection of wines. Service was perfect. If you want a slightly more casual atmosphere without compromising onquality this is an excellent choice. Highly recommend reservations. Read more
Amazing place. One of the few restaurants that actually take reservations in Traverse City. Had a group of 12 and they were... awesome. The dishes were well put together and amazing recipes. Highly recommended. Service was very reasonable even thoughthey were quite busy when we were there. Nice work guys! Read more
