We, the denizens of Down River Detroit, are blessed to have one of the finest dining establishments in the world among our... communities. Sibley Gardens could be the set of a five star mystery movie; lush, dark, comfortable and inviting. A seasonedstaff that is finely tuned to anticipate a patron's needs and wants. And a menu that will test one's abilities to makedecisions. Though anything on the menu will be superb. If you haven't visited "Sibley's" it is highly suggested that you do sosoon! Read more
Alexa was our server and she made the experience amazing. With it being a very busy Saturday evening you never know what to... expect. The food was great as always but she was so on top of all of our needs that it made the experience that much moreenjoyable. Will probably request her in the future. Read more
My husband and I just went there for the first time tonight and we were both absolutely BLOWN AWAY by how delicious everything... was, and how friendly, fast and welcoming all of the staff we encountered were. We will definitely make this place somewhere wego often for dinner because even hours after, we can’t stop talking about it. This place has been around for many, many years. Honestly, I didn't know they were still open until I arranged for a large group... for a birthday gathering here. I'm glad we did ... and I'm glad they are still going strong. Our party consisted of 17 people.Our server was amazing at getting orders straight and making sure we were all well take care of. Other members of the staffchecked in, too. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice everyone was making us feel welcome and at ease. The food wasexcellent. Everyone, to a person, mentioned how much they enjoyed what they ordered. Our group ran the gamut from pasta dishesto prime rib. It was all quite enjoyable. The napoleon appetizer and calamari were a great start. The bolognese was a real treat. The only issue is that they seemed to... only have 1 server on the floor. Sue. Who did great in the beginning but became overwhelmed as more tables showed up. Where wasthe management to step up to help her? You shouldn't feel guilt while asking a server for a refill but that's what we feltbecause she was so busy. Either way the food was outstanding. Sue was nice. The atmosphere a little stuffy. The waitstaff is always on top of their game. A mark of a great restaurant is consistency, and the food is always that.... Consistently delicious. The bar side of the restaurant in my opinion has a better overall vibe and allows for a more intimateatmosphere. My only complaint is the closing time being on the early side. Read more
