Despite the good food, the lack of good service from our server ruined my evening. To start, we were given the breakfast menu... instead of the dinner menu. Our server neglected to give us silverware and forgot to bring out a side dish. It eventually madeits way to the table, but by this point it was cold. I?d understand some problems on a busy night, but the restaurant was prettyempty. The peg game missing one of the pegs was a minor inconvenience. Read more
Country fried steak was pretty good so is their fried chicken, biscuits, blue berry syrup and the pancakes. Gravy doesn't taste... too bad. Friendly waiters and waitress they also have a nice little store to shop I will be going back for a third time. Thefood is good and can fill you up. Read more
Best comfort food ever. Love their fried chicken and the all day breakfast menu. The food is always tasty, the menu has great... options. The staff is friendly the only downside is that the service is in general slow. Went for lunch and it took 2 hoursoverall. Would recommend this restaurant. Read more
Ryan was a great waiter! Very personable and had a refill ready for me without asking! Food was hot and tasty and of course it's... always fun to walk around the store. Found a unique blouse with horses on it and the quality is always good! Would definitelyrecommend both the store for some neat finds and great gifts and the restaurant for a home style meal. Dinner time had no wait to get to our table. My wife was concerned about it being too cold in there but the temperature was... acceptable. Our servers name was Josh who had a four-star apron on. While he was friendly and cordial the service he providedwas slow and broken. For instance, my wife ask for iced tea with lemon and he came back with just the iced tea with a limitedamount of ice and took the better part of five to 10 minutes to return with the lemon my wife to drink. I had a breakfast fordinner menu item. I had asked for toast to come with my meal for the eggs that were ordered. He arrived at the table with themeal but again it took a good solid 5 minutes for him to bring the toast. If he's a four-star server things like that should notbe routinely happening. I tipped 20% for Josh which would be acceptable under normal circumstances. That being said, my regulartip starts at 25 to 30% and typically I have no problems hitting 35 to 40 per cent for service. I was very disappointed with theservice that was provided by Josh tonight The food was delicious. One cool thing tonight was the bill came with a scan codethat you could pay using your phone instead of going to the checkout register. That was very cool and very convenient! Cracker Barrel offers a lot of food choices and large servings at a fair price. The food at this particular location is hit or... miss depending on how busy it is. It?s not always as hot as I?d like it. The coffee is disappointing. The wait staff is also hitor miss. Even though my waitress was nice and friendly, she was also slow and hard to locate when I needed something. Therestaurant itself is clean and maintained. There is a large parking lot. The store at the entrance is packed with all kinds ofitems. There really is something for everyone. Clothing, candy, candles, calendars and so much more. It has an old countryfeeling to it. It is nice they have a store inside the restaurant as you can browse around while you are waiting to be seated. We had a big... party with 5 hungry children so the toys in the store entertained them. Very good portions for the price and our waitress wasreally nice. The food was good. The atmosphere inside felt really cozy. Read more
We went on Thanksgiving. It wasn't to crowded. They served only the Thanksgiving menu which was Turkey with stuffing, sweet... potatoes, cranberries, and a small slice of pumpkin pie. And your drink that's all you can get which was smart it made it fastto get your order. I do have a couple complaints. One the dressing was really watery should have been a little bit tighter as itwas runny and so was the sweet potatoes. The reason I'm putting this out is I'm a retired chef of 30 years and these things dobother me a little bit but I also taking consideration where I'm at. I worked in a more of a fine dining restaurant. Anyway thatbesides the point the service was excellent the waitress was great. We decided to make her holiday for a little better as wetipped her over $60. Believe me I'm I've worked in this business long enough that service run like crazy on holidays . Theatmosphere was a nice relaxed atmosphere I was with friends who are pretty fast eaters so we weren't there all that long. We didgo out into the store and shopped around a little bit and looked at some of the nice things that they had. So I would recommendcracker barrel and hopefully they read this to know that maybe the next time they tighten up the dressing and the sweet potatoesa little bit better. But then as I said holidays are a crazy day for these guys both in the kitchen and out front. Read more
