I’ve always heard about this place and I finally took the time to go for myself… best decision ever! I gathered my entourage... and treated them to a dinner and it definitely was a experience that boosted moral and strengthened our bond. We had reservations but we’re running a little behind but when we got there we only waited about 15 more minutes. Which... wasn’t bad. The waitress was very attentive & nice. The food was simply amazing & they came out to sing happy birthday to mycousin. I will be back again! Read more

This is quite the experience here but sometimes it’s not so good, I was recently here and our cook mauricio did a bad job, he... was adding a lot of oil to everything and some things were burnt; also he dropped one of my scallops on the floor and you onlyget three in the dish I ordered so that was a big part of the price, the rice was super salty and oily not that good. Now it wasclose to closing time and the cook could’ve been tired or something but he still should’ve tried better than it turned out.A plus was the waiter was around a bit, not that much at the start but at the end she was very helpful. The food was very slow , waited quite a while for our Hibachi chef to begin. Lady at our table was on her phone the entire time... & kept holding everything up , so staff would have to wait while her highness answered a question. She would put up a finger ,as if to shush the staff , while she was talking on the phone. A couple at the other end didn't want zucchini, but wantedextra mushrooms bc they didn't get zucchini. ???? I guess they were not impressed by the onions ???? since fearful of thevolcano.???? The chef lacked ???????????? enthusiasm, clearly was O V E R I T - can't say as I blame him. The foodhowever , hot , was bland to the taste - the fried chicken rice , was especially bland. All of the meat , shrimp, chicken, seafood was chopped up into baby size portions. Salmon was overcooked , and the steak took forever & was the last meat served. Lady on the phone insisted on terriaki, which held up ????? everything. Food was okay , nothing special - not really evenseasoned. Portion size of entree was very small and the price for 3 , totaled $128.00 plus tip. Try a different restaurant ifyou want an authentic Japanese - Hibachi experience. I would recommend Osaka in Macomb Township, near Lakeside Mall. Our work team celebrated the holidays with a trip to Benihana. For three of our team members, this visit was their first. All... of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and 'the show' with our chef. The service was fast and the staff was friendly andwelcoming. Read more
Added them to my review list so I came to check it out. They're under construction right now so it's a little inconvenient to... park but it's probably for the better the renovation photo looks awesome. Decor and energy in here was top notch I felt like Iwas taken somewhere else once I entered. Beyond that it was just hibachi. I've been to saganos and Ichiban was told this was thebest but probably a 3 way tie. I'll come back after renovations and see how things stack up then. Read more
First time visiting so I was excited. Took an hour an half to be seated. Finally seated, table really tight for 12 people. Large... table next to us dirty and there are gnats flying around. Not GOOD!!!! Chef was awesome he did a great job. Food was excellentit just took a while to get. The only problem was the gnats probably due to the dirty tables. Definitely a problem to me, tablesshould be cleaned immediately to prevent this as well as it affects the customer experience. Waiter was attentive but I feltrushed since it was closing time. Overall experience was FAIR. Customers should never have to point out dirty table and gnats.Management needs to address this issue immediately and it was pointed out by me to chef,waiter, and older man Manager. Seemedunbothered by it!!!!!!!!!!!If you look at my pictures this is why a napkin is covering my drink to prevent any gnats fromgetting in it.
