I have been regularly coming to this Poke Poke location for a while now (weekly usually). Today I left feeling very... dissatisfied. The workers typically look like they dislike their job making the engagement awkward at best. The preparer todayplaced the bare minimum of everything and even the sauce I had to ask for additional due to the abysmal amount he placed on. Ialso went in knowing I had enough points for a free bowl. Upon paying the system refused to let me use my points and theemployee only had the option of choosing $5 off. Had I known this would be the case I would have ordered online where I couldhave gotten my free bowl. Essentially I just paid for the worst bowl I've ever gotten from this location. Read more
I really enjoy creating my own bowl, and having no limit to veggie or toppings. The quality of the ingredients are good as well.... The portion size for the salmon and tuna can be a bit bigger, like they give the tofu and chicken. But of course those are moreexperience ingredients. The servers were quick and knowledgeable. Outside appearance: Looks nice, newer area, location is in front of 2Booli, PetSmart area in Troy. Inside: Clean, white tables,... lighting is bright, and food prep area was clean. Not very overwhelming. Service/Food: The employees that prep our food werenice, efficient, and knew how to work in a busy setting. The food was separated by the toppings and the meats portion. Therewas a person at each station (there's about 2 or 3). And the only thing that holds you up is the person ordering every toppingin their Poke bowl (which who can blame them, it's good!) So there may be a slight wait, but it's worth it. The only thing thatbothered me a little bit was the crab that was there, it looked like imitation crab (which i believe is made from Pollack) Thefood: my boyfriend and I created the Large bowl, which is a selection of 3 meats and then the veggies section. The food wasasthetically pleasing because it didn't look "old". The only thing that is a little rough is the Ginger pieces that go on sushiwere very large and stuck together, and the avocado that they provide you isn't sliced all the way through. But it wasn't toohard to just separate them with a fork. The service: once the employees are done making everyone's food, they will come out andgo table to table and ask how the food is. I didn't hear anyone complain when I was inside there with my boyfriend. And, myboyfriend had ordered avocado, however i took the last prepped one and they apologized and were rushing to get out another onefor my boyfriend. The employee there apologized for the delay (which we understand because they were cutting a freshavocado). Why go here? It's a little bit more expensive, but in the end, it's worth it.
