Entering this small family diner, you don't necessarily expect much. The typical "coney island" experience is too common in the... minds of new customers, but this is where the magic happens. As you sit down, you can't help but notice that every single personin this restaurant is smiling, and that the general mood is inviting, something like a gigantic family wedding. Each and everyemployee is approachable and to be honest, in my experience, I would trust these people to cut my hair. And this is all withinthe first 5 minutes of walking in. The menu is beautiful as well, whoever designed this must have a gift from Aphrodite herself.Well organized, intriguing, appetizing, and perfectly structured is how I would describe it. Not to mention The food itself, itall sounds delicious(and it did indeed live up to its descriptive name). If anything, come for the experience, because afterdining at the Maple Leaf, you will ask yourself how something so simple as a quick meal and short conversation with a servernamed Annika quickly became the highlight of your week. Came in, got seated quick and got drinks quick. Waited 10 mins for server to come take my order. Saw other server just leaning... against counter. Food took a bit but was good. French toast pancakes. So I just moved to a new building for work and I'm trying to start finding some good places to eat for lunch. A friend mentions... this place to me and it's only 2 minutes from my work so I gave it a try, The main dish I ordered was the chicken over rice. Itwas a nice size portion of food and it tasted really good. The chicken was a bit overcooked but that that was the only issuewith that. The problem I had was the "salad" you get with your meal, which can't even be considered that because literally itwas ONLY lettuce and one tiny sliver of cucumber and an 1/8th of a tomato. That's it. Absolutely nothing came on it. For whatcame out to be 17 dollars after a couple dollar tip, it seems really underwhelming. The reason I'm giving this 3 stars isbecause the chicken over rice was so good even being overcooked. If the salad was much much better and the chicken wasn'tovercooked it would be 4 or 5 easy. Local, comfort food with generous portions. My husband got the Maple Leaf breakfast, which was a great value. Eggs, hash browns... (or you could pick pancakes or grits), 3 different meats, and toast? he was living his best life. I got the French toastpancakes, which is genius by the way. My only regret was that I couldn?t finish the whole plate. But I was able to take the resthome and they reheated well in the air fryer. My husband had the brilliant idea to add some ice cream and it became a nicedessert. Read more
My family and I love this place! Some of the best breakfast in town. My mom insists that there is no place better for French... Toast. We also were really impressed with the burger my brother ordered last time! I'd recommend this place to anyone and anygroup because they'll definitely have something for everyone! Read more
They were out of several dishes, including the one my husband really wanted, but he managed to find something else. I had the... Chicken Parthenon, which has a ton of flavor but the chicken was overcooked. My husband had the French toast pancakes and theywere phenomenal. I'd go back there for breakfast to order those next time! Service was fast and the server was attentive. Read more
