We went with Woods Fort because in 2021 we met with the coordinator, placed a down payment, and were assured we would be able to... have plated meals. Sometime between 2021 and October 2022, the plated meals option was removed and the venue refused to honorthe agreement. We had to do a buffet. With a change of menu and pricing, we were not notified. This resulted in the menuselection being within 10 days of the event after I reached out to confirm event details. With such short notice, the invoicewas due immediately upon receipt which incurred a penalty for using a credit card. They would not accept a check or cash on theday of. Living 4 hours away, a credit card was the only option. The food, venue, and service the day of were very good. Everything leading up to was so frustrating and aggravating we were searching for any other option for our rehearsal dinner.
