I was coming back after a long day and decided to take a stab at this restaurant as I was driving by. I love Mexican food, and... so I figured I couldn't go wrong. And wow, this place hit the spot. Not only did they take care of us by getting us in quickly,but they immediately brought fresh chips and salsa that had been prepared that morning. I ordered the veggie burrito and wasdelighted by the plethora of veggies, and it was HUGE! Following this delightful meal, they brought us a fun dessert: chocolatecovered chips. We didn't even order them, I guess they were just being nice? It was awesome! Granted, if you're looking for 100%authentic Mexican food, this may not be your place. But if you're looking for a fantastic experience, and even better food, doyourself a favor and go to El Sombrero. Read more
If I could give 10 stars I would! Delicious ???? food at a great price! My husband and I were there around 7:45 on a Saturday... and were surprised that there were so few people there! The quality of the food was amazing, the quantity of the food was agreat value for the pricing and the wait staff were extremely attentive! We will be back! Read more
It?s the best Mexican food in town. The owner is an amazing man. He gave free food to all our local kids during Covid shut down.... If your going to go Mexican, I highly recommend this place. His cooking is out of this world and the love he has for ourcommunity is first class! Read more

If you want truly authentic homemade Mexican Cuisine that is exquisitely tasteful go to El Sombrero in Troy, Ohio. The owner has... created a fabulous atmosphere inside the restaurant too. An artist named Rafael has painted beautiful murals from Mexicanculture on the walls that are mesmerizing. The atmosphere is very friendly, unique and welcoming. Everything on the menu issomething that you will enjoy. My personal favorite is the picadillo beef tacos. Once you have had those you will never eat ataco with hamburger again in your life. Thanksgiving Day.....line was long, but we got thru rather quickly. The volunteers were wonderful....nice, courteous and... respectful. And the food was good......not my grandmas,, but good, nonetheless. Good people to do this year after year! Read more
