We had an enjoyable meal, everything tasted great, the service was great. I was disappointed in the size of my meal, two of the... people with us I ordered fish and chips. My meal the Admiral platter which is fish and chips plus white shrimp and seascallops. Changing from fish and chips to the Admiral platter added $20 to the meal, again the food was great but I do not thinkthe additional items are worth adding $20 to the bill. Plus $12 more for a salad! I will return in the future but I will notorder the same meal, as you can see from my picture there appears to be more fries (chips) then fish. Read more
Solid restaurant for steaks and seafood. The environment is comfortable, although starting to show it's age. Maturity is not a... bad thing though when it shows success. The service is amazing. The Ceasar is made tableside.This Ceasar is simply one of the best you will ever have. Even if you are not a fan of a Ceasar Salad, this is a Ceasar youmust try. This is a world class Ceasar! Eeyore was even cheery after giving this salad a try. The clam chowder is nicely done,flavorful with a good consistency. The chowder, while average if in Boston or Maine, is the best chowder you will find in thegreater Dayton area. Steaks are done perfectly. Order steaks here with confidence. This Boathouse could easily be mistakenfor the Farmhouse. As you would expect, the seafood is fresh and masterfully prepared. Some seafood selections are straightforward while other seafood dinners offer chef level complexity (possibly too complex in a few cases). Overall. This place willnot disappont. You will be somewhere between wow'd by your experience or simply satisfied by your experience. Such a great time every year, we come here each year for the birthday and have never been disappointed! Went with a group for a friend's birthday dinner. We were seated on the outside patio which had a very good view of the river.... The servers were very friendly and informative on drinks, apps, and meal choices. Prices can be high depending on what youorder. We had alcoholic drinks as well with our meals, so the price can vary depending on what you order. The food was very goodand the drinks were amazing.
