The waitress was very accommodating since the website description and actual menus didn’t match. Everything of interest was... served with pork. Which my friend and I don’t eat. She talked to the chef who altered our with shrimp instead. Very nice ofthem. The food itself was probably the worst thing I’ve ever eaten. I think the chef is trying too hard to be fancy instead ofmaking food. Our “omelette “ was filled with a salad and sweet chili oil and served with the same side salad that was insideout omelette and a hash brown. The entire plate was covered in this sweet chili oil. Having inside a salad filled omelette justmakes me wonder if anyone at the restaurant ever tried this? And lost their taste buds. So disgusting ???? We ate our salads, Ihadn’t eaten all day so I did my best to eat the over cooked shrimp . I was disappointed as there were many recommendationsfor great dining. But our food explained why this place, with a great view and service on a Sunday was empty. Read more
One of the best restaurants in Truckee. Great for live music. Awesome beer garden. The vegan meatloaf is bomb. One of the best... vegan burgers I've had as well (made from scratch patty). Could improve with vegan cheese and avocado. Really good fries. Beerlist could benefit from some variety. Nice views of downtown Truckee. Read more
We had reservations for brunch at 11:15 and arrived five minutes early. Our server seated us right away as there were no other... guests in the dining room. There were two tables of guests on the patio but that was it. Our server was very friendly, howeverit took 30 min to get our drink order after she turned it in. Our food didn't come out for another 45 minutes. The food was goodbut not worth waiting over an hour for. There seem to be only two servers working which is woefully inadequate. If there isn'tenough help working, the owners need to come in and make up the slack. Read more

I have been thinking about this food since we left. My husband and I were at the Ritz for our anniversary and popped over to... Truckee for our celebratory dinner. We made reservations for 7:30 and once we arrived we did have to wait a minute for a seat onthe patio, which was totally fine! We ordered a drink from the bar and got seated pretty much right as we got our drink. Therewas live music (my favorite) and a great view. But the FOOD WAS SO GOOD. I am from the south, so the comfort food made my bellyand soul so happy. My husband got the steak and the mac n cheese gnocchi, I got the fried chicken (most perfectly crispy chickenI’ve ever had), which came with the most flavorful mashed potatoes and gravy, (please mail me some LOL). Even down to the Coleslaw was just fantastic. My husband kept saying how shocked he was I cleared my plate, I never finish anything. We finished itoff with the lemon curd beignets, they were a bit dense, not the type of beignets I am used to, but still yummy! If we are everin the area again, we will absolutely be back. Read more
