This is a pricey upscale Italian pizzeria. Don't go in expecting to pay anything less than $25 a person. But totally worth it.... Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Absolutely loved the hot Sicilian and the pizza of the day was a potato based pizza withanchovies and fresh rosemary. Very awesome. I had the bucatini pasta with fresh shraved truffles on it. All pasta is made fresh, cooked to perfection with excellent flavor accents. Had the carbonara paired with red wine and would... recommend it to anyone, best Italian I’ve ever had. Take out sucks! Salads are very small and very poor quality. Save your 20 dollars (per salad) and grab all the raw materials... quickly at the grocery! Enjoy something SO much better. About $50/person on take out, OUCH! Read more
Ok. This should be a 4.5 for sure if that score was an option. Beet and Goat Cheese ravioli are a must. (Pro tip - save extra... sauce for any pizza crust or focaccia you may have). Service at the bar was excellent. We showed up right at 5 w noreservations. Book early for a table. Pizzas are quite good but not great. Dough is the highlight. Sauce is a little overcooked and not “bright” enough. Then an unnecessary dusting of grated parm on the crust over salts the wonderful dough. Otherwise. We will be back. Enjoy! Read more
Came to North Tahoe for the weekend and realized not a lot of restaurants take to go orders after 6pm. We stumbled across this... place. Despite the long wait (it took about 2 hours for the order to be ready for pick up), the food was delicious! Pizzas(From top left) Hot Salami Pizza, Burrata Margherita Pizza, Sausage Pizza Bianca, Prosciutto & arugula, and MaitakePizza Salads (From left) Sunflower cesar salad, Burrata & endive salad Sides (From bottom left) Grilled Brocollini, FriedBrussels Sprouts, My favorites from each category have to be Sausage Pizza Bianca (the saltiness of the sausages pair perfectlywith the creaminess from mozzarella), Fried Brussels Sprouts (I love the hint of sweetness), and Sunflower Cesar Salad (Love theaddition of kale!). We placed an online order with a 90 minute wait time for the order to be ready. When I arrived at the time given, the place was... packed and busy. I still needed to wait another 25 minutes after I arrived just to get my food. The hostess was busy seatingnew customers and each time she saw me, she would ask my name over and over again. When we finally got the food home, the pizzawas lukewarm and we were given the wrong salad. The quality of food is good but not the service for those ordering to go. Read more
Forget Truckee this may be one of the best pizzas in northern CA. The pasta is on point, the pizza is delicious and the rotating... appetizers are fresh. We got the peach prosciutto and every slice of peach was fresh and juicy. Would highly recommend this spotif you are in north Tahoe. Read more
