Absolutely delightful. Such a cool old diner vibe, both inside and out, from the moment you open the old Airstream-reminiscent... front door. Our server was wonderful and the food was delicious. Huge variety of offerings, from burgers to classic comfortfood plates. We'll definitely revisit Jax the next time we're in Truckee. Highly recommended. Read more
The food was great with a very large menu with many unique options. The portion sizes were generous, especially the milkshakes,... although the items were generally on the more expensive side, especially with simple substitutions. Read more

OMG I don?t know how I didn?t know about this place sooner. The food here was absolutely amazing. My husband ordered the Butcher... Burger (pulled pork, slaw and bacon on a burger) and I had the Kobe beef meatloaf. But honestly, everything on the menu lookedfantastic too. We will definitely be back and highly recommend. Do not be deterred by the unassuming nature of diner and thesimple classic decor?the food was phenomenal. I was also pleasantly surprised by how quickly our food came out, especially giventhat we arrived at 6pm on a Saturday. Such a great diner. Authentic old school experience, huge portions. Lattes oddly served in 16 ounce pint glasses, but not going... to complain about getting a huge amount. We got pancakes, hash browns, and the all day addiction. All were great. Read more
