I made a reservation 3 days in advance on open table. I specifically stated in the comments that I wanted a table outside and... we were bringing our two labs. I gave them my cell number and asked that they call if there was a problem. No phone call but gotturned away when we arrived. Wonderful dinner as the sun set. We were seated right away and served well the entire meal. Our waiter was attentive and... pleasant to interact with. Good food & drinks, very large portions. Out of the way if you're not staying in Tahoe Donner but worth the drive.
Outdoor dining right beside the golf course, the surrounding is fantastic. Patio and pavilion both have great ambience. The food... is exceptional, they are both very tasty and original. Everything we ordered was outstanding and our server Travis was reallynice and took care of everything we needed. This place is now one of my favorites in the whole California. Read more

My husband and I visited the lodge for our anniversary dinner. Michael was an amazing waiter, assuring all of our needs were... met. The food was the best we ate during our visit to Truckee. I ordered the pasta, savoring every perfect bite. My husbandordered the pork chop and said it was one of the best he's ever eaten. The only suggestions I have would be to add nuts totheir charcuterie plates and refine the oatmeal topping on their strawberry/rhubarb crumble so it was an actual crumble and notjust oatmeal.
