We were very excited to try this newer place. Very disapointed. It is set up like pancheros were you walk up and give your order... then wait for it. They have tables both inside and out to sit. You fill your own soda cup if you get a drink. They have a salsabar but you get the chips for it when you pick up your order. That is backwards. When you place your order and pay they shouldhand you your cup for the drink and some chips so you can get the salsa then fill your drink and sit down and enjoy whilewaiting for your order to be made. I mean logically why even offer it if you are eating your meal when getting the chips. Lol.The owners need to go to Baja's in Orange to see how they offer a salsa bar. Its nothing complicated. Just a few different kindsif salsa and some warm chips. But this lets you get settled and start chatting with friends and gets your tastebuds thinkingabout whats to come. Do not offer if its not done correct. We sat down looking around and noticed the garbage overflowing. Therewas garbage in the floor in front of it because it was so filled the flap would not contain anymore. It was very warm insidealso. I understand they are cooking but we decided to sit outside for comfort. If it wasn't for outdoor tables it would havebeen to uncomfortable to eat inside and we either would have canceled our order altogether and went to Laylas in the plaza nextto this or someplace else. It was that hot! We finally got our food and it looked good. But soon found out other wise. Weordered 2 beef empanadas but once we took a bite they were chicken. Picture this. Shredded grilled chicken, smothered in whattasted like Taco Bell mild sauce with a pinch of cheese in a greesy fried hot pocket shell. It was not very busy but you caninstantly tell they have the heat on the oil very high and do not drain it off the items they cook before serving it. Food is good...nice atmosphere, especially on the patio in the summer and their mango salsa is amazing. Very reasonable pricing.
