Ordering from here was a great decision. We wanted something new and different. So we went here after searching through multiple... restaurants online. The menu was extensive and informative. They also have online ordering...The food was perfectly spiced. Getthe Thai tea ! The vegetables were fresh and delicious. We were pleasantly surprised with the portions of the food. This is oneof the best places I've eaten at, and especially in Alabama. Way better than other Thai cuisine places in the area. Plus theshop was quaint with nice decorations... a framed photo of a boat market loaded up with foods, spices, and vegetables on thewall. Will return one day, hopefully soon. Read more

This place is wonderful! Walked in and was immediately acknowledged. As soon as I sat down they placed a sampling of their... coconut soup (which was fantastic) on the table. I ordered the veggie delight with shrimp. The white rice was steaming, freshand sticky (just right) the veggies were fresh and still had a crunch, not soggy or cold. The atmosphere is quaint andauthentic, and the service was wonderful. I noticed the staff wiping tables immediately after the customers left and overall thecleanliness was 5 star! thai basil is definitely the best thai in birmingham. it tastes much more fresh than surin west in downtown, and has more... flavor! the coconut soup is INCREDIBLE and i recommend D1 for any curry lovers. their thai tea is also delicious ???? Read more
