Our first time here & it was a fabulous experience! We had the lentil soup, hummus with warm pita, dolmades, the Saganaki... burger, the Kostas Lamb burger, the iced tea, the baklava, & the Galaktoboureko. We also ordered a few quarts of AvgolemonoSoup, baklava, Greek Mac & cheese, & the salmon pita To-Go. The prices & portions were fantastic! The food was fresh, delicious,& obviously made from scratch, with love. Our waitress, Grace, was so sweet and the owner, Gus, came over & spoke with myhusband & me. He was truly a delight! Great food, just like the sign said through simplicity. The octopus was cooked perfectly! They give you these yummy fried... chickpeas on the table. The lentil soup was very flavorful as well as the side of potatoes. Definitely like home cooking. BYOBand gluten free and vegan/vegetarian options. Kostos: You Need Eat There!!!! The food and service is absolutely scrumptious and fantastic! 1. Dip Trio w/ Pita: Each dip is... better than the next. The Tyrokateri is probably my favorite, but it was hard to choose between the Hummus & Melitzanosalata.Really fresh flavors and perfectly seasoned. 2. Fried Calamari: Tender with just the right amount of perfectly seasonedbreading. 3. Gigantes: Very delicious. The sauce they are cooked in is perfectly savory. 4. Gyro Platter: Meat is absolutelytender and the seasoning brings out the flavor. It?s enough for two people. 5. Horiatiki Salad: Very light and compliments themeal. Super fresh ingredients. 6. Avgolemono Soup: Homemade deliciousness. 7. Spanakopita: Fully stuffed but very light. Good,but subtle flavor. 8. Ruth, I believe was our server?s name, is amazing. Everything about our dining experience was 5 stars. The restaurant is CLEAN and the staff is wonderful. Our waitress was so... helpful and friendly and the food was authentic, fresh and amazing. Gus came to talk with us and you can feel the passion he hasfor what he does! We were treated to complimentary olive oil/sea salt ice cream which is a absolute must try. One of the best gyros I've ever had. Stuffed grape leaves were on point and the rice pudding more like a dry pudding? Never had... it before and I liked it but was a TAD too sweet for me. May have been the whipped cream. Staff were super polite, speed wasgreat, and the restaurant was clean. Worth going out of your way to eat here! Read more
