Definitely get the flight of salsa! Yum! Loved the service and quiet patio area. Always a good sign when locals recommend, we... arrive at an off time and it's still packed. Great food and not afraid to use heat & spice, thank goodness. Read more

BOCA tacos are the real deal! Homemade salsas, tortillas, chips and inspired flavors. Our server Tina expertly guided us through... the menu. Portions are generous, and the made to order chips with 5 unique salsas were impossible to stop eating. Read more

Super excited to try this spot and it did not disappoint. Salsa flight was varied, unique and delicious (and you can buy salsa... to take home!), but the tacos were our focus. Favorites at the table were The Rajas (vegetarian friendly), as well as the fishand shrimp options. Inside and outside seating, with fans on outside. Prices were really reasonable, and service was quick andfriendly Read more

Do yourself a favor and get the salsa flight! Absolutely fantastic experience and fun to try all the new flavors. The chips are... so delicious just on their own too! The elote is roasted and seasoned perfectly and there was not one taco that I did not love.Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The flavor combinations were out of this world. Read more

Delicious tacos! We had an array of salsas to start. Very inventive flavors and lots of fun. The octopus was delicious. ... Sadly, we only had room for two tacos each. Very flavorful. Service was great! Read more

Maria Mazon Ever since we saw Maria compete on Top Chef, we have been wanting to go try her food at Boca Tacos on Fourth Avenue.... Today, we took a little lunch date and had the chance to check it out. Our server was tremendously helpful at helping us selectfrom the many awesome offerings on the menu. After enjoying our flight of homemade salsas and chips, as well as a selection oftheir most popular tacos, John asked if Maria was ever in the restaurant. The next thing you know, the server brought her out totalk with us. What a warm and welcoming and genuine person! (Can we say Celebrity Chef crush??) Maria represents Tucson foodand hospitality at the highest level! Besides the delicious food and service, take some time to enjoy the kitchen gardens out onon the patio, as well as the shops attached. We were excited to take home some freshly made tortillas sold to us by none otherthan Maria's son! Thank you, Maria and staff, for being such amazing ambassadors for our hometown. Five stars all around forfood quality, service, and affordability! Read more

I had lots of excitement to eat at BOCA based on the chef's reputation and existing reviews. I was shockingly dissapointed. I... ordered three different tacos to cover my bases. Each arrived with a cold tortilla and only mildly warm interior. I was toldthat (at the time) their tortillas aren't made in house, but no locally sourced tortilla should be comparable to Missiontortillas, especially at the level this restaurant aims to be. The meats and garnishes were fine, but lots of other restaurantsalso serve fine tacos. That said, the salsas were creative and very good, but none could save the meal. So BOCA was alright, butyou could do better. Read more

We will definitely be back! The food was superb and we loved the atmosphere. The taco fillings were generous and I love the... unique salsas that accompanied the chips in the chip and salsa "flight." We should have taken half the chips home, but we atealmost all of them, as they were so good. The only disappointment I had was in not getting to meet chef/owner Maria Mazon, whowe followed and cheered for on last season's Top Chef. ANOTHER reason to back! Read more
