I used to live in Tucson but now only get to go to Cartel when I?m visiting family. I miss it so much-the coffee they serve is... always amazing. If you get a latte the milk is steamed to perfection and the shots pulled just right. Their beans are also myfavorite AND they often have whole bean decaf. The recent addition of their vegan pastries are the best I?ve ever had (I?ve beenvegan for about five years and lived in many places including Southern California but nothing comes close to being as good asthese pastries!). Some of the reviews mention that coffee should never be this expensive, etc but it IS great coffee and theprices aren?t much above other places that serve far inferior coffee. The employees are always nice and knowledgeable as well.I?d recommend getting Cartel as often as you can afford to if you are lucky enough to live nearby! Read more

Not a Starbucks but an actual coffee house where you can comfortably spend some time. Simple menu, tasty pastries, and good... coffee... if you're looking for a fast quick drip coffee this may not be a place for you, it's more pour overs and espresso. Most tables are communal, long areas where we can all be alone together. Plenty of power and even some comfy couches to sit andtalk, and a few small 1-2 people tables for folks who don't want to be too close to anyone. Read more

nothing spectacular. you?d expect better service and a cleaner space for a $5 cup of drip coffee. I was the first guest of the... day, and felt entirely unwelcome. Also, the space had obviously not been cleaned the night before, table tops were dusty withfood scraps and the floor could have used a good sweep. The effort a team puts into caring for a space says mountains about theinherent quality of an establishment; they just don?t care Read more

$4.50 for a cup of coffee ? Or better yet $4.50 for espresso and water? First of of all in no way is an Americano worth 4.50... also espresso is low in caffeine compared to any other roast and is an evening beverage. You can literally go 2 doors downs andget a large coffee of freshly roasted fresh coffee for $3. Your menu board with no prices on is garbage. But hey you gottafigure if you walk into a coffee shop at 8 am and there are more employees than customers you should probably go somewhere else Read more

I am new to Tucson and just tried Cartel Coffee Lab on Campbell Ave. I ordered the iced mocha with almond milk. It was amazing... and I only regret that I drank it too fast. The place has great atmosphere and plenty of seating too. Read more

This place is a great working spot. The coffee is ok and limited menu and coffee choices but it?s worth it for the working... atmosphere and comfy sofas and fast Wi-Fi! Read more

There are many places to get better coffee and/or equally good coffee AND at more affordable prices. We had a 15 min wait for 2... coffees and 2 breakfast burritos. Given the wait I expected greatness. The burritos were warm on the outside and just below roomtemperature on the inside. This means they are just poorly heating up pre-made food. Who knows how long it has been in thefridge. If I wanted heated up manufactured eats I could go to Starbucks. Or better yet, eat a Hot Pocket since their burrito wasa similar experience. The coffee was served in glasses. Yep. Dumb. Super hot to the touch because glass is a great conductor ofheat. But it quickly cooled and so did the coffee because glass in not a good insulator. If you love hot coffee, you will be ina catch 22. Did I mention that the $10 burritos are the size of a $2 burrito at a gas station... come on! Read more

I love, love, love this place! We visited three times during our vacation as a result :) There are so many amazing drink options... and the baked goods (many of which are vegan) are delicious. I had a gluten free, vegan German chocolate donut, which waswithout exaggeration the best donut I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend. Read more
