Had a wonderful experience at El Chinito Gordo for a lunch meeting today! Not only was the food some of the best Mexican food... in town but our server, Luis, was TOP NOTCH. 1st time inside and absolutely ???????????? Love the decor. The host was happy ???? and fast to seat us. Brett the server was... amazing ???? customer service 1000% more than helpful with explaining the specials of the day. The QBT are to die for I highlyrecommend this ???????????? the sauce is to die for. Good drinks to start (we got the spicy cucumber margaritas, which were well-balanced), tasty entrees (shredded beef and chicken... crispy tacos, steak fajitas), Modern atmosphere with upbeat music soundtrack in the background. Tortillas were fresh. Generousportions. We came in later on a Friday evening, and it wasn't too busy (we were seated immediately). -1? for a couple itemsthat could be improved: First, the wait staff were a bit disorganized and didn't know the menu well (perhaps new team members?).Second, the complimentary chips and salsa were nice, but the salsa was quite bland and couldn't stand up to the thick chips(which were nice and freshly fried). Food was really good and our server was very sweet, but we waited for 20 minutes to get our check. I had to come up to the... counter and notify someone. Lunch price was very reasonable. Plenty of parking in the back of the building. I?d still come backdue to the crispy tacos were amazing. Read more
This restaurant was recommended to us by a local. We tried it for dinner - they opened right before Covid so are building their... base of loyal fans. Count us in! The margaritas were fabulous. I ordered a veg quesadilla it was good not great but everyoneelse at our table was thrilled. The mole chicken, shrimp tacos, carne asada and the stuffed pepper were hits. Such a great and comfy little atmosphere. Definitely a nice place for if you are catching up with a friend and want to go out to... eat or even want to go on a cute date. Food is delicious and there are plenty of yummy options. Staff is super friendly! Laurelwas my server and she made the whole experience tie in all together. Had a friend bring us here. What a great experience. The dining room was full, so we sat in the bar area. The food and service... was outstanding. I've never had a smothered Torta. Wow, so good. If you have a chance, I would definitely go. Reccomend!! Read more
