Amazing soul bbq food cooked with love n care. Great side dishes to go along side the amazingly smoked meat they grill. There... are NO true Soul Food restaurants in Tucson but Kens changed that. Ribs were good and very tender, so was the brisket. Loved the KHB hot link. Mac and cheese was creamy and very tasty. My wife... wouldn't share the beans, so I guess they're good. Would definitely visit again if I'm ever in Tucson again. Read more
Fried Mac and cheese was great. Cornbread was pretty good, sweet potato fires were perfect. But honestly the brisket was only... ok. It tasted good but was pretty tough. Overall, I did enjoy the food and the owners were very nice. I would recommend butmaybe go for the pulled pork or something other than the brisket. The BBQ sauce was great tho. Read more
The prices were too high. The service was just okay. I went there expecting quality food and was sadly disappointed. My friend... ordered the rib plate the ribs were so fatty. My rib tips were good and flavorful but they gave very few for the $12.99 pricethat was without sides. I also ordered sides The macaroni and cheese was disgusting and inedible and the greens are not good sobitter, no flavor, and all stems they actually gave me a stomachache which lasted all of the next day. SURPRISINGLY the okra wasthe star of the show it was amazing but I did not pay all of that money for okra I could have just ordered that on it's own. Iwas shocked by the catfish sandwich meal my son got and it came with okra. That meal seemed to be the best of what was orderedout of everyone. Definitely not up to my standards. Zero fat, so... lean, perfectly prepared, and not that I am a ?big? portion kind of guy, but for $8 ? I will be skipping dinner thisevening.
