Ribs were good and very tender, so was the brisket. Loved the KHB hot link. Mac and cheese was creamy and very tasty. My wife... wouldn't share the beans, so I guess they're good. Would definitely visit again if I'm ever in Tucson again. Read more
Fried Mac and cheese was great. Cornbread was pretty good, sweet potato fires were perfect. But honestly the brisket was only... ok. It tasted good but was pretty tough. Overall, I did enjoy the food and the owners were very nice. I would recommend butmaybe go for the pulled pork or something other than the brisket. The BBQ sauce was great tho. Read more
The prices were too high. The service was just okay. I went there expecting quality food and was sadly disappointed. My friend... ordered the rib plate the ribs were so fatty. My rib tips were good and flavorful but they gave very few for the $12.99 pricethat was without sides. I also ordered sides The macaroni and cheese was disgusting and inedible and the greens are not good sobitter, no flavor, and all stems they actually gave me a stomachache which lasted all of the next day. SURPRISINGLY the okra wasthe star of the show it was amazing but I did not pay all of that money for okra I could have just ordered that on it's own. Iwas shocked by the catfish sandwich meal my son got and it came with okra. That meal seemed to be the best of what was orderedout of everyone. Definitely not up to my standards. I first want to write that Ken?s food is probably the best barbecue in Tucson. I started going to them when they were selling... out of their food truck. My issue is with the fact that I ordered three separate combo meals which included fries with noseasoning.for each order. What I received was one container with a hole in the top and one order of fries instead of 3 separateorders for which I was charged for. In addition my sandwich wasn?t even in a container. It was just sitting on top of one of therib combo meals box. In my opinion, what they did was just put all three order of fries in one container to save on money. Ipaid all this money and I hardly received any fries for my order because it was lumped all together with the other 2 orders.This is the second time that I had an issue with ordering fries. The last time, I ordered the same combo meal to go and when Iopened it up, there was maybe not even a cup worth of fries and they were completely drenched with oil and seasoning. Theyweren?t even edible. I didn?t call about that order but this last experience was the last straw. I paid a lot of money alongwith a great tip and I expected to get what I ordered and not to be cheated. Sorry, but covid or lack of supplies isn?t anexcuse for not providing what I paid for. Amazing food. We split Kens loaded fries with pulled pork and couldn?t finish them. They were such a deal! The sweet potato... fries and beans were so yummy. We will be back, hopefully soon! I?ve recommended multiple people to go enjoy as well. Read more
06SEP2022: Two pulled pork sandwiches and a side of mac?n?cheese. Short and sweet, absolutely incredible BBQ. Zero fat, so... lean, perfectly prepared, and not that I am a ?big? portion kind of guy, but for $8 ? I will be skipping dinner thisevening. Not my first time in here ? always very clean, today was no different. Friendly staff ? I will be back?repeatedly! Cheers to you Ken and Company, thank you for a delicious lunch. P.S.
