The food was delicious, but the wait for food was surprisingly long. The drinks and appetizers came out pretty fast, but then... our plates took a long time. It was delicious, but just delayed. It wasn't particularly busy, a Wednesday night, and the rest ofour stuff came fast. Otherwise it was great. Staff was nice, food was good, the restaurant was clean. Food was fresh and quickly brought to the table. I was impressed at with the quantity and quality of the food for a great... price! But the thing that stood out the most was the vibes from the employees working that night. Each staff member was workingwith ease and thoroughness. This was a nice change to see because I've definitely noticed in the last couple of years this isreally hard to come by. I know for a fact this is ultimately from good management. I just have to say it really made my dinnerexperience a great one! I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a place to eat in that area for dinner!! Read more
My first time eating at this place. Our waitress was amazing and very well informed on everything on their menu. She explained... the custom dishes on each page. She asked where we?ve eaten before and the types of dishes we usually ordered so she was able torecommended things based off of what we liked to eat. Her timing was perfect when coming by to check on how we were doing and ifto see if we needed anything. She was an older waitress so her way of customer service was old school, which as a formerwaitress myself, I greatly appreciated! I had a prime rib sandwich, which was cooked to perfection! It has been several years since we attended a Outback restaurant so we were expecting the same quality of food and service that... we had in the past. But guess what, it wasn't there, the service was extremely poor. Took us 10 minutes to even be greeted by aserver and at that point we ordered cocktails and asked for some water, 15 minutes later we finally got both and we had orderedan appetizer at the time we ordered the drinks that didn't come out till about 5 minutes after we got our drinks. When we gotour food my son asked for mayonnaise for his burger and never got it. Our bill was over $200 we only had one drink each and thethree of us had a salad and an entree and a meal to go The server was tipped well, a little over 20% since I have worked in thatindustry I understand that they live on their tips so I didn't want to punish him even though service was not great. Probablywon't go back to Outback anytime soon. There are many good steakhouses out there Texas Roadhouse in Longhorn are very good we'llprobably go to those next time. I had the prime rib sandwich which was very dry and tough, the other meals were okay, the steakand shrimp was good and the burger was just okay, for the price you pay for a burger you would have expected much better. We went early. The hostess and wait staff were very friendly and attractive. There was a small wait for our bar order and... some confusion on what drink was what. I ordered the black cherry mule and the first time it came out with mint and the secondtime with a black cherry and a slice of lemon no mint. Both were good but weird that they were that different. Not Gluten-free, unfortunately this restaurant didn't understand what Celiac means, I got glutened and was in so much distress... and pain I couldn't even walk to make it to urgent care but after 4 hours and stomach medications I finally got relief, we weretraveling so I could not touch base with the Restaurant. My rating for this restaurant is a strong 4 stars. We had lunch at this Outback and the lunch scene had not become very busy at... the time of our arrival. I ordered a lunch salad with ranch dressing, and the Alice Springs Chicken with fries. We also had thegluten-free Chocolate Thunder Down Under for dessert. My salad was basic, but well-presented and all of the ingredients werefresh. They were a bit too generous with the ranch dressing, but I love ranch so no problem there. Oh, I also shared a starterversion of the Shrimp on the Barbie, which was seasoned nicely, cooked correctly, and was overall very tasty. My Alice SpringsChicken was juicy and delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and how can you go wrong with chicken topped with mushrooms,bacon, cheese, and a honey mustard sauce? Yum! The fries were hot and fresh. Our dessert was rather fabulous, too. The browniewas rather light and not dense. The ice cream and whipped cream went with it perfectly. Finally, the service was goodthroughout.
