i have just stayed in the Downtown Clifton Hotel for 3 nights, the Red Light Lounge is a part of it. i ate and drank here every... night and was impressed with the quality of the food and the great value it represented. Very cool diamond in the rough in south Tucson. It?s the bar/lounge of a motel but with a cool eclectic vibe. We went on a... Friday and several local artisans and craftsmen had small tables selling their art/crafts. The cocktails were good as was thebeer selections. We?ve dined at the Red Light a few times and enjoyed the various dishes. Unfortunately, yesterday?s dinner was disappointing.... The ceviche was tasteless and required several slices of lime to bring out a minimum amount of zest. We also ordered theguacamole and chips. And as the ceviche, the guacamole was tasteless. Lack of any kick, citrus flavor or even a little salt andthe avacadoes were also tasteless. The tamarind margaritas were pretty tasty, that helped to make the meal average. Just happened to come across this place while checking out the "Ugly but Honest" sign at the 5-points and we are so happy we... did! . You order at the bar and very soon after, your amazing food and drinks appear. The staff was super friendly and the foodwas so delicious. Our kids wanted to go back the next day for round 2! We did not realize it was a hotel and we will be back tocheck that out very soon as the place looked very peaceful and inviting. . Would definatley reccomend a visit. . Thank you???? Read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE the vibe here. We got food to go but had a cocktail while we waited. Super low key, super understated elegance,... really inviting feeling. Can't wait for it to fully open back up so we can make it a regular date night spot. The food was alsogreat, we split the cottage fries and the burger and they were both delicious. Can't wait to return. Update: We moved away fromdowntown for 18 months and came back recently and well, just... wow! Red Light Lounge is still providing the same welcomingenvironment, great service, and outstanding food & drinks. A true gem in Armory Park. Go here!! Read more
