LOVE LOVE LOVE the vibe here. We got food to go but had a cocktail while we waited. Super low key, super understated elegance,... really inviting feeling. Can't wait for it to fully open back up so we can make it a regular date night spot. The food was alsogreat, we split the cottage fries and the burger and they were both delicious. Can't wait to return. Update: We moved away fromdowntown for 18 months and came back recently and well, just... wow! Red Light Lounge is still providing the same welcomingenvironment, great service, and outstanding food & drinks. A true gem in Armory Park. Go here!! Read more

Very cool diamond in the rough in south Tucson. It?s the bar/lounge of a motel but with a cool eclectic vibe. We went on a... Friday and several local artisans and craftsmen had small tables selling their art/crafts. The cocktails were good as was thebeer selections. White wine options were great but they were out of a few reds today. The elote corn ?ribs? were a delight andthe loaded fries great. Will def come back! VictorB Read more

We?ve dined at the Red Light a few times and enjoyed the various dishes. Unfortunately, yesterday?s dinner was disappointing.... The ceviche was tasteless and required several slices of lime to bring out a minimum amount of zest. We also ordered theguacamole and chips. And as the ceviche, the guacamole was tasteless. Lack of any kick, citrus flavor or even a little salt andthe avacadoes were also tasteless. The tamarind margaritas were pretty tasty, that helped to make the meal average. It?ll beawhile before go back to the Red Light for dinner. Read more

Just happened to come across this place while checking out the "Ugly but Honest" sign at the 5-points and we are so happy we... did! . You order at the bar and very soon after, your amazing food and drinks appear. The staff was super friendly and the foodwas so delicious. Our kids wanted to go back the next day for round 2! We did not realize it was a hotel and we will be back tocheck that out very soon as the place looked very peaceful and inviting. . Would definatley reccomend a visit. . Thank you???? Read more

Tucson has a hidden gem. With the help of Sonoran Restaurant Week, we were introduced to this place. We ordered the tamarind... margarita, which turned out to be one the tastiest I?ve had. We had the Aguachile Amarillo for the first course, which had anicely complemented blend of flavors. Steak and Guajillo Masa Sope was the main entrée, and the meat was tender and nicelyprepared. Mesquite Bean Ice Cream was the dessert; it was a non-dairy ice cream that was creamier than a dairy ice cream, evenbetter. We'll definitely return. Service was great and so was the atmosphere. There was a time when the idea of fish tacos was ?eh? at best then having had Chef Nico?s fish tacos at the Red Light Lounge... everything changed. The tacos were perfectly crisp, seasoned to perfection and dreamy. Have had numerous fish tacos since thatencounter with Chef Nico?s fish tacos and not one has come even close to what he has created. His entire menu is fresh, innovative takes on classics such as buffalo wings with cotija and a cilantro lime aioli. A decadent and delicious Indian FryBread and even salads packed with Southwest flavor. The only regret is having not made it back in yet to try the newly launchedbreakfast menu. Grab a spicy margarita and some fish tacos next time you?re around and thank us later. Read more

This may have been one of the best Sonoran-inspired brunches I've ever had! We ate here after staying overnight in The Downtown... Clifton, its funky hotel home, but would gladly visit again just for the food. Stone-ground masa biscuits with homemade pricklypear hibiscus jam and orange marmalade were huge and fluffy, with incredible depth of flavor from the masa. For our main disheswe had chilaquiles - an amazing dish of chips softened and layered in red chile sauce and topped with pork, crema, avocado, picode gallo and cotija cheese - and the sumptuous verde eggs benedict, with more green chile pork, corn salsa, and pickled peppers.Perfect balance of flavors, textures, and freshness all around!
