Great All-American Route 66 stop! Service & food were great. Prices were very reasonable. We stopped in at lunch time. Breakfast... is served all day. Several specialty dishes related to the area history & Route 66. Read more

Perfect place to break from the heat! I was worried a diner might be a lot of greasy food, but there were plenty of fresh and... refreshing options. I had fresh tomato and avocado on my sandwich. Kix on 66 was also free of sticky table tops which was muchappreciated. Read more

Off the beaten path on the old historic Rt.66, you'll find this hidden gem with great, fresh food and friendly wait-staff. The... only place in town that doesn't mind you using their restrooms. If all other establishments in town where as awesome as thisplace then the town would still be thriving. Read more

Great diner in a former Denny's. We had breakfast here twice on our Route 66 roadtrip--the food and service were that good.... Great choice in Tucumcari. Note: The restaurant doesn't really have a sign--look for the empty sign shaped like a Denny's sign. Read more

Best breakfast food I?ve had in a while. Highly recommended. I had the 66 omelet & loved it. They have Cholula hotshot handy... because they know what they are doing here. You are dealing with food pros here. The waiter was fast & friendly. There is ahighly rated lodge with affordable rates across the street if you need a place to stay. Read more

This was a great spot to have breakfast! We stopped here on our way back home to Ca. It's in a very small town and we watched... everyone say hi to each other. We came in and since it was slow enough, they let us choose our table. We decided to sit at thebar so our son could have a true "diner" experience where you have small chats w the servers and watch the cooks in the back. The servers were all nice and attentive. We never had an empty glass and they continually asked if we were good.. They havetheir wall covered in patrons' art, mostly from kids. Their decor is very diner-ish with different signs and art all over thewalls. The building itself was dated but it was clean, including the bathrooms. We ordered their classic breakfast plates and akid's plate. All the food were cooked fresh and you can tell they make their own food. My husband loved the sausage andblueberry pancakes. Even the blueberries were fresh vs frozen. My corned beef hash, eggs, and biscuit and gravy were all good. All in all, I would describe it as home cooked food on the road. Things your parents would cook for you. If you're looking forfancy, this isn't it but I'd take this over fancy! We left full and satisfied. My son ended up making some art to put on theirwall and they immediately hung it up for him. That made his day! Would definitely come back and recommend ???? Read more

We absolutely LOVED this place. Visiting the area and it?s THE perfect place for breakfast. Delicious coffee, excellent service,... friendly waitress, and really good food! A hearty portion in the omelette which also comes with hash browns or grits, AND? apancake, toast or biscuits and gravy. Omelette was yummy. I skipped the hash browns/grits but had the biscuits and gravy andthey were also yummy. Nostalgic atmosphere of an old diner which we absolutely LOVE. We?d definitely stop here again if we?reever passing through the area. Read more
