Best dran breakfast we've had in California. We got the Griz breakfast with coffee. The portions size are so big and the food is... tasty. Everthing on the menu sounds so good it was hard to make a decision. Definitely recommend any time of day. Friendlyservice and very affordable. We also got bear claws to go. I thoroughly enjoyed the pancake breakfast I ordered. The 2 pancakes were humongous & I wasn't able to finish eating them! ... Bacon & 2 eggs topped off the meal. There is such a variety on the menu that it was hard for me to choose. I would definitelyeat here again! Easy on & off to/from Hwy 99, to a great place to have a tasty meal on your road trip. Absolutely AMAZING customer service and delicious food. We visited from out of state here from a recommendation and we... definitely would recommend it again! The mashed potatoes and gravy are delicious with a sweet flavor, and I loved theHuckleberry lemonade. Our kids were well taken care of, and the hospitality was wonderful. Folks - Im here in Tulare Ca. At the Black Bear Diner (BBD). Just off the 99 freeway. Size does matter. The portions at BBD are... "gargantuan" three people can split the meals offered. The atmoshpere here is very cozy, country like. The wait staff is bothcourteous and efficient. Did I mention the pancakes are the size of "record albums." Maybe been to this location once the whole time I?ve lived here in Tulare County. This week we went twice, once for dinner and... once for breakfast. Shared a California burger for dinner with fries and side salad. They let you order the cooking temperaturehow you like it, which is nice. Very nicely prepared and service was pretty good. For breakfast I was craving a waffle so wesplit a big papa breakfast with a waffle, eggs bacon and a chicken sausage. The waffle wasn?t made with waffle batter but morelike a pancake batter. Wasn?t my favorite because I hate pancakes but still pretty good nonetheless. Everything else was cookeddecently and service even though it was busy was exceptional. A special place for me and my brother. Times going to a Black Bear Diner growing up was always during a trip up north. We were... excited to stop at one on our way to Yosemite.
