I was really surprised by this because I LOVE Abuelo's. However, this was the 1st time I've been to this location. Our service... was amazing, above and beyond out of the gate. But the food was so disappointing. From the appetizers and chips to the refried-refried beans with my entree...even the atmosphere and cleanliness of the restaurant was far below what I have know Abuelo's tobe, in my experience with the other location. Our server was wonderful, very knowledgeable and a fantastic personality. I didfeel notice from the time we got there, around 6 until we left, plenty of employees at the host stand, yet only saw one run foodto our servers section and one check table progress at some point, but nobody came to assist with refills of drinks or chips,even though our server was triple sat and 2 of them were big parties. He did well, but any teamwork seemed non existent and I'mnot sure we ever saw anyone who appeared to be a manager...I get that it's a Friday night, but they weren't slammed and even hadthey been, it's rookie stuff to look out for your coworkers, in those ways. Maybe a leadership issue, or a fluke, but doubt Iwill be returning to this location. Read more

Food was good once we got it and got it corrected. Service was very poor. Multiple mistakes and just incompetence. Left without... drink refills, cheese on things that we were very clear couldn't have cheese because of allergies for our girls. Talked to themanager... He offered to take care of our daughters kids meal. He never apologized. Didn't seem to really care... We used tolove this place but unfortunately this kind of experience is becoming normal there. So the over by Tulsa Hills has some good food, not dripping with grease like other Mexican restaurants around the area. The taco... salad is huge and very presentable. The enchiladas are equally as good, with beans and rice. it all tasted fresh. The servicewas really friendly even though I give the staff a hard time. I compensate with gratuity equally. Read more
I'm here to update my review! I came back and still have not received any bad experiences! Kelby was our server and she was... fantastic! She was absolutely sweet and made sure we had everything taken care of! The food was absolutely delicious! Thank youfor the good vibes and I will be back! Took a road trip to OK when my husband wanted to see his dad. I love the inside and everything about this place. The food was... good but too rich for me. The waitress said the large margarita was a fish bowl. We were expecting a fish bowl that we both canshare and when it came out it was more like a small fish bowl. Lol. The queso and guacamole dips were amazing. My enchiladas,not too crazy about it but I tasted my husband’s food and his was great. Not sure if we will come back. Read more
Wet table and menus but, the food was phenomenal! We got the grandfather combo..was HUGE. We split it and the appetizer and... still have food for another meal each later. Beats chueys hands down. Read more
I got an order to go just now as I am passing though Tulsa on way home. The food was outstanding but I wanted to also give 5... stars to Casandra. I always make a point to recognize when I get good service. She not only took my order at the bar, butbrought me chips and salsa, water while I waited for the order. She was engaging and treated me as if she knew me. Definitelywould make a point to come back if passing through again. Thanks for treating customers the way they want to be treatedCasandra. Read more
