I ordered the molcajete. It was a great value at about $16, but the meat was tough. The flavor was good. I would imagine things... will improve with time. Be sure to watch your step heading into the back dining room. Read more
Started my Saturday with a walk to Calaveras for breakfast. I was greated warmly at the counter and ordered coffee and juevos... rancheros. I hit the salsa bar and kept it simple with some creamy green. It's tangy bite so good with the warm fresh chipsprovided with my drink. The food arrived quickly and was feast for the senses even before taking a bite. The potatoes had crispyedges and tender insides, so much better than the obviously frozen "home fries" many breakfast places serve. Everything on theplate enhanced the other things on the plate. We had their taco truck for our wedding reception and everyone LOVED it! They were super easy to work with, especially given... that we were planning only two weeks in advance over a holiday weekend after our previous caterers canceled on us ? Calaveraswas a life saver! The food was delicious, they were quick to get orders out, and they had a nice variety of options. Got here in time for breakfast and it was amazing. I?ve had their burritos from their truck before but this was the first time... I sat in the restaurant and will definitely be back. I had the Huevos Rancheros and it was perfect. I think the shredded beefon the bottom really added to the experience and made it unlike similar plates from other restaurants.
