The food was okay. I had the chicken avocado sandwich. Not what I expected. Could do better. My partner had the chicken fried... steak it was a bit chewy, some flavor. The mashed potatoes and mushrooms are delicious. We ordered a couple of drinks. You couldbarely taste the drink all you could taste was the alcohol. Could do better at the bar. The best for me was the key lime pie.It's made with a walnut crust, you could taste the lime flavor with their house made whipped cream. Delicious. Probably will beback but just for dessert. We were on our way back to Michigan from Texas and we stopped in because the reviews were good. We were not disappointed.... Friendly staff, excellent food and and we were even greeted by Allison the manager. We appreciate how much attention and carethey gave us even though they were clearly short staffed and very busy. The food was great, the staff was very accommodating. I met up with some old coworkers that I hadn?t seen in a while. The... restaurant closes at 9 and we offered to leave at closing however the staff said it was okay to stay. We ended up staying until10. It was so nice not to be rushed out the door. Great service and I was honestly amazed at how good and fresh the food was in 2022 haha like wow! I tried the blackberry... mocktail and it was the only thing I didn't really love but it was still refreshing. I got the parmesan crusted chicken and itwas perfect. SO AMAZING! Go early they fill up fast. Parking is difficult so we parked in back. We had chips and queso. Queso was outstanding... but chips were extremely hard. Like Kettle chips. We each had baked potato soup. Very very good. Hubby had French dip sandwichw au jus, and I had THE most fantastic Salmon Ceasar salad! Incredible meal and highly recommended if u have $100 to spare (Orspecial occasion]. Our waiter Jack was the best. I'm still thinking about the salad and probably will for a while. Wow! Pleasetry. Overall 4 star, although I will say that both my server and the manager tried to compensate for the Old fashioned I initially... ordered (which was extremely poorly made) with the Manhattan you can see in the picture. Food was okay, ambience was good andthe service was in general great, but I like my drinks well made and like to enjoy them. I will recommend the place though,taking a star off because of my drink.
