The server was fine but the restaurant smelled real fishy like old fish when we walked in. We tried to stay positive and sat... outside. The food? All I can say is not good. That?s not gyoza! We were served the most dark brown tuna I have ever seen and ithad a very pungent smell. The rest of the food was terrible. Have some knowledge of the food you want to experience or someone with you that does. I went to beak out of the ordinary and... messed up. I tried one of the boxes.......I didn't care for the salad. The salad was very good and the sushi was okay. But the service was not good. Walked in and the host came up but ignored us... twice.The soy sauce bottle in the table was really dirty (forgot to take a picture) but it was so nasty I didn't even use it.Our waitress acted like it was pain to take our order. But yet the table next to us was getting checked on and being offeredthings in the menu that she liked but she didn't do that with us ... For some reason. I?m giving this place a 4 star review because the sushi is overpriced for the lack of presentation. We waited around 30-45 min... for basic sushi to come out. It was quite disappointing. But aside from that the calamari was delicious. I also enjoyed theatmosphere of this place. The wait staff was very accommodating. Craving sushi, but forgot to make reservations or don?t want to face a crowd? ITR in Brookside has takeout mastered. Give them... a call, they will ask for a name, a number, and the kind of car you drive. Show up on the south side of the restaurant, andthey bring it right out at the time they promised. It?s a snap. We order takeout about once a week since 2020 COVIDquarantine, and ITR has made a mistake on our order one time. Amazing, you say? Well, that?s just how efficient they are. Thefood is just as great as dining in. They will send you home with plenty of soy sauce, and they will include chopsticks, if youneed them. I prefer using my own instead of the raw wood chopsticks at the restaurant, but I digress. If only otherrestaurants had a system as slick as ITR?s. Read more
