This was our first experience, trying to eat lunch on Thanksgiving. We chose this restaurant since all the major restaurants... were packed out the doors into the parking lots. With no expectations... This place blew us away. The Tuna Poke bowl has so manyflavors and ingredients, the tuna is great quality and the presentation IS matched by taste! The Sushi is delicious and theSushi chef is fast! Pictured are the Lobster and Spider roll. Service Dog friendly; honestly staff is simply friendly allaround. Kirin is a great place to enjoy a great meal, whether you get a quick lunch to go or a proper date night dinner inside. Their... dining room is clean and aesthetically pleasing, the service is prompt and attentive, and the food is delicious! This place is all about the art. (This place came up under the category of romantic restaurants, and for in artistic type. It... definitely fits.) The walls are decorated with a metallic sedimentary style design, showing gold, silver, copper, brass andbronze in a very reflective surface. The tiles resemble tarnished bronze. The wall design in the bathrooms looks like the barsof a DNA readout. The lamp shades are long conical cylinders with vertical slits, giving a nice sun-like light pattern on thetable. The food is plated in a very artistic look, with some bowls having unique designs including a giant flower. Unlike manysushi places that give a lot of rice with very small pieces of fish making up the roll, here it's the opposite, giving you largechunks of fish with only the necessary rice to hold the roll together. The sauces are just the right amount, not overkill andnot taking away from the food but instead properly adding to it. The sashimi includes nice thick cuts of fish on a bed of redbeet strings which are cut angel hair thin. The use a 2 mm thin lemon slice between the different types of sashimi to furtherseparate the flavors while adding that lemon citrus. I have been coming here since Kirin opened. I have had the sushi, miso soup, the drinks, fried rice, entrees, and appetizers.... All of it has been delicious and plentiful. The staff is nice and the restaurant is clean. It can get busy, but they offer togo/take out for those days when you want to enjoy your food at home. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is nice, andit’s in a good location. I’ve worked my way through the menu. My favorite items from there include egg drop soup, hot andsour soup, crispy sriracha chicken, and the under the sea sushi roll. Happy eating! Read more

Nice, comfortable atmosphere. Waitress was not very attentive. They are very limited in vegetarian options, so I had Mo Po Tofu.... Good flavor, but very one-note and could have benefited from some veg for a crunchy relief from the soft tofu. Husband waspleased with his Mongolian Beef. Said it was very flavorful. The best thing about this place is the appetizers. Rangoon and egg roll were delicious and the pineapple cream shrimp was by far... the highlight of the meal. The sushi was also good, but the rest a little disappointing. The blackberry gin tonic was mostlywater in taste, and no berry flavor. The lunch beef and rice were equally bland. Love their food! It is the best sushi we have had around Tulsa! It's the only place we go to any more! We tried two new things... rolls today and they were outstanding! The Nara Roll and the Union Roll they went so good together too! Read more
