I ordered 2 brownies with cream cheese icing the brownies were hard and the cream cheese fell off the top. They were not fresh... they were frozen and nasty. I also ordered 2 fried cinnamon rolls they were straight out of a package not freshly made the icingon top was thick and white, nasty. I also had donuts not freshly made they were frozen. I?d give this location and it?s management zero stars if I could! Let?s start with how this $200 cake order had to be taken a... total of five times. On the day of pick up the cake had a five instead of a three, waited over an for that to be fixed,cardboard still showing, the designs were not symmetrical. Upon cutting the cake both layers were chocolate, another thing wedidn?t ask for. When calling when them and trying to talk about the situation the manager straight lied to us saying that that?snot what we order when he realized he was wrong and that we knew we were talking about he was empathic, offered to remake thecake the birthday is over. Called to place order at 7am and phone line not even working when using prompts so had to go in and order. It took over 10... minutes just to make a sausage egg biscuit. In the past I've never had to wait for more than 4 to 5 mins. I paid but left withnothing bc I had to wait so long and now im late to work. This location is going downhill fast. Read more
Best donuts in town. Period. All their cakes and pastries are wonderful. I'm glad to see they survived. I miss Ann's bakery.
My previous experiences with Merritt?s have been excellent, but the cake we got this time was a big disappointment. They weren?t... able to provide a custom cake, which I understand, but we requested a cake with a simple happy birthday message on it instead.It was on a round cake, and the first disappointment was that the writing was not great. But even worse was that they put it ina box and taped the lid closed - when we got it home and opened the box, the writing in the center of the cake was smashed to beunreadable. The taste of this cake was also not up to the usual - it was very dry. I have always been proud of the cakes that Ihave gotten from here, but definitely not this time. Ordered a cake for my daughter?s 21st birthday. It was supposed to be a shot glass but it was far from it. Husband picked it up... and had no idea what it was. Until this last time Merritt's was great. Lots of choices. When I went to this location, I felt like a dark cloud was over my... head. I arrived before noon, everything I wanted, they were out of; croissants, chicken salad & roast beef. So I decided Iwasn't suppose to eat lunch there & just bought a couple cookies for my grandsons.
