In looking for new dining experience, our group was sent to Kermit's downtown Tupelo. Most of the time, I start with a basic... dish to set a baseline such as a cheeseburger and fries. This location had a brisket burger instead of beef and so I gave it ago. It was not a disappointment. However, it did seem to be just not of my taste. My coworkers got the sausage and cheese plateand were very satisfied with it. So when I go back I will be having the same. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service wasspot on. Parking may be difficult but should be expected when dining downtown anywhere. I recommend giving this restaurant atry whenever you f8nd yourself in Tupelo looking for something different from the usual. 9/10 highly recommend. Read more

Also known as Kermits Outlaw Kitchen. Soul food at its best. Fried Pork Belly with everything. Not much service as you order and... then sit down... but everyone was friendly. Lots of old stuff on the walls. Mostly Elvis era. recommend and will go back. Read more

Helpful staff, delicious food. I didn?t expect fresh Parmesan to be grated over the fries, which was delightful! Another... favorite: the cauliflower breadsticks. I?m from Nebraska, and I brought my family to Kermit?s for some BBQ and soul food aftervisiting Elvis Presley?s Birthplace (5 minutes drive from Kermit?s). Now I wanna come back to Tupelo! Read more

Ambiance is ok. Husband got the combo trio which was decent and a good amount of food. I got the Fried Brisket sandwich. I've... cooked plenty of briskets in my lifetime and this was no where near a product they should be marketing as an edible brisket. Idid let the chef know that the fat to meat ratio was out of control. I couldn't even take a bite without having to fight to tearsome type of meat off between the huge layers of fat. Then I had to spit out chunks of super chewy fat. She let me know that'sthe marbling of the brisket. No ma'am. It is not. Yall are keeping the fat cap on and using it as filler to use less of themeat. If that brisket was smoked right that fat would have been gelatinous. They did offer to make me something else. But, wewere pressed for time. Needless to say, I was super disappointed. We really love their sister restaurant Neon Pig, so this was atotal let down. Read more

In Tupelo, MS for work and found this little diner in the middle of downtown. This stop needs to be worked into your itinerary.... I ordered butcher burger with fries. The burger is ground smoked brisket and my mouth was in heaven! And the fries are farmgrown, cut fresh in house and seasoned with Kermit's own recipe of spices. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the peopleare amazing. 10/10 highly recommended! Read more
