We go to Black Bear at least twice a month. Sadly, today's visit will be our last. My hubs and I ordered breakfast. His Biscuit... was ice cold and hard as a rock. My French toast was cold and stale. My husband asked for a fresher biscuit..and when they cameback, it was cold and hard as well. The waiter that ended up helping us because our waitress was MIA...he asked if the secondbiscuit was better, and my hubs told him no. Thecwaiter told him, they were biscuits from YESTERDAY ..they did not make freshbiscuits this morning. The prices have gone up again..and for these prices..we expect fresh quality food. I always love eating here. The food is great and the service is wonderful. Everyone is so friendly.

It took them a while to take my order. The food wasn?t very good. And my waitress never checked on me, even though I was right... at the center table and she had to pass me a dozen times to get to the other tables. Reasonable prices, good food, we had an exceptional young man as our server tonight! The taco shell salad is very good, would be... even better if there was a southwestern type salad dressing to compliment it instead of just thousand island or ranch. Read more

As Always, Black Bear Diners are our Fav's!! First time here, Great service, Great Food, Huge portions, Fair Price. Was busy... when we came here tday, Sunday, but still no waiting in line. We visited this location on 9/12/21 This was her first time at this location coming for breakfast, well a late breakfast around... 12 PM we decided to make our way to Turlock for food ended up deciding on blackbear and we were not disappointed in our choicefor The afternoon. Upon entering the building we were greeted by the host who then seated us at our table. We got the pleasureof having Tanner as our waiter for the day and I can honestly say he was a fantastic server. He made sure to give us theappropriate amount of time for us to find what we needed on the menu and he constantly checked in on us throughout our meal.Fantastic job on hiring friendly servers to give fantastic service. Let's talk food we were a party of three and we orderedmultiple items off the menu; I ended up ordering the Grizz and everything about my meal was delicious and the pancakes weresoft and warm my toast was crispy. my eggs were cooked perfectly and the hashbrowns were delightful. My husband ordered thescramble bowl with a side of French toast which he said were delicious my mother ordered another meal which I'm not too surewhat it was called but she also said she really enjoyed her cinnamon roll pancakes. they were a bit sweet but that's what youget when you order cinnamon roll pancakes. Overall our food was very good everything was hot and if we needed anything extratanner made sure to accommodate us in our request I would honestly come back to this location again if the service continues tobe this fantastic.
