good food, and a hippy chill vibe! Definitely small portions, so don’t go starving. Very friendly and sweet wait staff. A nice... spot to check out if you’re out of town, and looking for something different. Espresso Martini was amazing, I could drinkthose all day! Fried Oreos for dessert is a must! Serving sizes were small and ranged from $12-17. The most disappointing thing was all of the servers were very slow and not... attentive to the customers needs. Kitchen in the Desert is a unique dining experience in Twentynine Palms. This is a very popular venue with visitors to the... Joshua Tree National Park and locals. Make a reservation as early as possible if you wish to dine here. Most of the seating isoutdoors, the lighting is dim so it’s not unusual to see people trying to read the menu with the light on their cell phones.The menu is limited but focused on delectable dishes. In the cooler months plan to dress for evening cold temperatures. Taketime to walk around the grounds to see murals about Twentynine Palms and some of our history. The staff is friendly and quickwith suggestions about the options on the menu. The restaurant is located on a side street off Highway 62. You will be glad youtook time to discover it. Read more
Second time eating here. As a date night spot in 29palms, this place is great. Guys, take your wife here, sit her under a heat... lamp outside and wrap her in one of the blankets they provide. They like that stuff for some reason. Then you get yourself acocktail or two and warm up how your grand pappy used to. Food is a little pricey, but nothing lacks for flavor. Lovely, spicy, not the run of the mill restaurant. Mostly outdoor seating, with heaters and low lighting. We loved the Brussels... sprouts dressed with shallots, walnuts, goat cheese and a sprinkle of chili flakes. The jerk chicken was amazing, tender andfull of flavor. The Doubles was surprisingly delicious and filling, a savory donut/fry bread with chickpeas and a lively spicysauce. The slow cooked greens were a perfect compliment. Read more
Oh man, a lot of these reviews are unnecessarily harsh. This place is a vibe. Our group came early (around 5:30 PM) and were... seated quickly in the lovely outdoor space. It was chilly and they provided blankets for each of us and a nearby heat lamp. Weordered the Smashburger, Brussels sprouts, jerk chicken, and hen in the woods mushrooms. Everything was well seasoned and tasteddelicious! The Smashburger came with two patties and could easily be shared between 2 people. My favorite was the jerk chicken,while my friends loved the mushrooms! We ordered two pies for dessert and enjoyed both of them. Service was super friendly,albeit a bit slower as the restaurant got much busier past 6:30 PM. Loved the music and ambiance here, will definitely be astaple to every Joshua Tree visit! Read more
