Beautiful location so they?ll never hurt for business. Like many post-COVID restaurants, the lack of trained staff is really... showing. It was a busy day so it seemed normal that food was coming out slow. But when everyone seated after us had gotten theirfood we got suspicious. They forgot our order, for over an hour. Fine, it happens. But we didn?t get a sincere apology, didn?teven get offered to order another drink and didn?t get comped anything. They should really train their staff better, but sincethey don?t need to drum up business, they probably won?t. EDIT: We appreciate the establishment taking time to respond.Ordinarily we would have spoken to leadership staff but none came to see us, which was part of the issue. Incredibly delicious gluten free eats at this food bar!! You don't need to staying at the Long Beach Lodge Resort in order to... visit the Sandbar Bistro. We had the gluten free fish and chips, as well as the gluten free chicken strips. The food was sogreat we ended up getting chicken strips to go and had them for breakfast the next day. This spot made me a happy Celiac eater.Sitting by a fire, with good food, and a beautiful view of the beach was a fantastic experience. Will absolutely return! Read more

We had drinks and fries on their patio which has beautiful views of Cox Bay. The fries and dipping sauce were delicious!

Great place to have a drink and a meal after a day on the beach

I just got back from Tofino, and just LOVED this new addition on Cox Bay out front of the Long Beach Lodge. Apparently this is... Tofino's only beachside dining patio. I had lunch here 3 days running and my only disappointment was that I was not able to staylonger to try the rest of the menu... Day one was the halibut burrito. 5 stars - Oh and the Fries..So good... Day 2 I had theSalmon Poke - Salmon sashimi cut small with some yummy sauce and prawn chips... today was a good old fashion bacon cheeseburger,the bun is home baked "pretzel" bun.. and of more of the amazing fries. They are fully licensed and I saw many tables with thebucked of cold coronas sitting in the sun and watching the surfers do their thing. You cant take the beer off the deck, but Isaw lots of people grab some fish and chips and head back to the beach... A brilliant addition to an amazing location! Read more
