We came about 1:45 pm on a Friday and there wasn?t a single other person in the restaurant. We were seated immediately and... service was pretty good the entire time. Three stars because this place was VERY expensive for the quality of food. It alllooked delicious when it came out but unfortunately fell short on taste. We ordered 2 lunch combos & one strawberry daiquiri.The food was pretty flavorless even with the spices & sauces and the daiquiri was also pretty watery & not very flavorful. This is a close 4, but settling at 3.9. Never been to this franchise and it's pretty much the seafood Chilis or TGIFridays. The... drinks are extremely sweet and food was greasy and I'm sure laden with sodium. But again, those were my dishes and beverage. Iordered a margarita at first, but had to return it after one sip. It was like drinking syrup. Settled for a blueberry lemonvodka with less calories. I love coconut shrimp and decided on that, but honestly it was so greasy (I know..), I pretty muchremoved the batter to somewhat enjoy it. The food was absolutely not great I ordered the flounder basket the kids had the chicken po boy from the kids menu and we also... had a catfish basket the chicken tenders that were used in the po boy were fried in the same grease as the flounder and thecatfish. The oil you can tell was clearly not changed in a long time because all the food came out with the same flavor and thesame burnt color and very very greasy. Besides that once we got there it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to finally getto the table to ask us what we wanted to drink I am usually not picky about that but seeing as they had a very small menu therewas no need to wait so long. Went to Union location and let me just say I had the best time!! My friends and I got there at 3, start of Happy Hour and or... server Eduardo who was just great! He offered advice and add-ons to enhance flavors. He was was responsive and quick for himbeing the only server in the area. Well we closed our bill with Eduardo and kept sitting because we notice nearby us a DJ wassetting up and said well let?s get another round of drinks! Well that is when we met our waitress Georgia. When I say she was anawesome experience-she was FABULOUS!!!!! She made sure we were happy and satisfied. She sang with us, did a little dance with usand helped turn my celebration into pleasurable experience! My friends and I said this is our new favorite spot and willfrequent it often because what matters most is service and Georgia and Eduardo got a perfect 10! Read more

Our first time visiting and the experience was great. The food was delicious! The staff was courteous and friendly. My wife... asked our server what was good and ended up taking every suggestion for the seafood boil our server had mentioned! We left fulland happy, ready to visit again! I met up with one of my friends for a quick happy hour drink. When I arrived I found parking right in front. I walked in and... there was no one at the hostess booth so I walked to the bar and asked if I can seat myself. The server asked if I checked inand I told her there was no one there. She kind of in an attitude said that the hostess was working along actually. She thenchecked and said I could sit at the bar. I don't know the young lady's name but she had curly hair and was shorter. Greatfulfor my bartender Kamola (was messing up her name all night, so this might be wrong also ???????????) but she was great. Iordered the margarita on happy hour and it was tasty. I loved the sugar rim because it tasted like candy. My friend ordered theshrimp basket and mango margarita and she liked her things as well. The bill was only a little over $30. I was a little disappointed when I received my food it was not as hot as I felt it should be. We had to keep asking our waiter... for things???? like the bibs, napkins, spoons for the lobster ???? bisque soup, wet naps. Service was slow !!! Don't know ifI'll come back this location but.... West Orange hook and reel here I come much better.???????? 11/5/22 today I decided to givethis Hook and Reel a second chance. Sooo glad I did the food was so good.
