Food was mediocre. Nothing amazing, but the pasta salad is pretty good. I realized the ginger ale I drank was poured into a... dirty cup as I was halfway done drinking it. The dirt from the bottom of the cup was rising and floating to the top - verydisgusting. Service was nothing amazing. Found ourselves waiting a while to order dessert and for the check. Wanted to orderextra desserts to take home but I didn’t feel like giving this place any more of my money. Read more

My wife has been here a few times and always told me she liked the atmosphere and food. Today I got a chance to experience it... for myself and I'm really happy we went. The restaurant is qorky and odd in a very good way, comfortable and clean. Thefood was great and everything was fresh and clean. Pumpkin curry soup, Cubano, Mac&cheese with chicken for our daughter. Weate her mac & cheese. Read more

I’ve been going to this place since the 90’s, and while I’ve moved away from the area, they’re still as good as I... remember. Great coffee, great food, great vibe. Read more

My daughter and I came to Van Gogh’s for a cappuccino and lunch. It was a little cleaner than 2 years ago but not much and I... don’t understand why broken seats and filthy dark with dirt seats aren’t replaced and dusty fans aren’t cleaned. Even thecounter where the coffee and cappuccinos are made is a bunch of junk and boxes in a glass display case and it’s just dirty.Organize it. Clean it up. Put some thing that has something to do with the restaurant in there. We gave it another shot but Iwill never return there again. We were greeted, told we could sit anywhere and it took a little bit to find a clean place tosit. We were having a good time just talking and hanging out and after about 10 minutes we asked if we could have menus. Finallywe were told that you have to scan the QR code and pull the menu up on your phone. The QR code worked on my phone but mydaughters phone didn’t so she pulled up the website for the menu. The waitress asked what we would like to order and mydaughter ordered vegetarian sandwich with baby greens but she couldn’t have that because it was on the “old” menu. Wecan’t go off that menu on the website because we have to use the QR code scanned menu. OK. It was the same exact sandwichexcept baby greens instead of vegetables. Ok so she ordered the vegetable sandwich. I ordered off the lunch special menu half asoup and a half a sandwich. I ordered white bean & sausage soup, and half of a chickpea salad sandwich. The waitress came backand said it’s half a soup and a salad (THE MENU SAYS IN PRINT HALF SOUP & HALF SANDWICH) so you can’t get the chickpea saladsandwich. I showed her the menu where it states says half a soup and half a sandwich, but if it’s half a soup and salad now.OK then I’ll take the soup with the chickpea salad as a salad and not a bread. She said oh but it has to be a salad! WT…..??OK. I replied I’ll have nothing I will just drink my Pellegrino water please thank you. Seriously the whole thing was veryawkward an Read more

Poised in the center of Union is this cute, unique, café. Comfy chairs and couches to do work and enjoy coffee/tea/hot... chocolate or have lunch at a table in a comfy chair. I tried the honey lavender hot chocolate and WOW! It was amazing totallyrecommend! The lavender adds such great flavor especially for a day like today thats 27 degrees out! I also ordered a honeymustard chicken wrap with pasta salad and the chicken was grilled to perfection! I took it to go because of the time I had butwould love to come and hang out. It looks like they had live music events planned and support the LGBTQ community with a t shirtfundraiser. Great spot for a cute little date or to chat and catch up with friends! Parking is a little tough because its in thecenter of Union so be sure to drive around for street parking or the municipal lots and you will be fine. Definitely going back! Read more

I have been wanting to try this place for the longest and finally got to stop by for lunch. I called in my order of a curried... chickpea sandwich with the pasta salad. He told me it would take about 15 minutes. When I arrived I parked nearby on the street. When I walked in it was set up like a dark cafe. The man that took my order over the phone asked my name and got my order. Itcame to a little under $14 and that included a vegan cookie I added. I paid with my credit card and left. When I finally ate Iseen that the restaurant didn't give me the pasta as the side that I asked for. Instead they gave me quinoa which I didn't want.I dug in and the sandwich was ok, nothing to jump up and down about. I tried the quinoa and didn't care for it. All in all I hadan ok experience. Absolutely love this place! I’ve gone here with my significant other multiple times and anytime we’re in the neighborhood,... this is our go to place. The food is fantastic, it’s very unique compared to the average food. Their coffee is on point!I’ve been abusing their cold brew because it’s just so good in its natural state. My partner got the chocolate mocha latteand it was perfect. I highly recommend the their tacos, it’s cauliflower and just the perfect level of spice and flavoring.Their Mac n cheese is also good, tastes super fresh! The workers here are respectful so aside from the taste it’s also awelcoming environment with beautiful decor. Definitely check it out if you’re in the neighborhood - we’ll be back thank youfor the hospitality. Read more
