Great service and average food. Interesting happened with our bottle of wine. We ordered the bottle of Riesling 2017 for $50.... After we finished the bottle I realized that it was Riesling 2020 for $20 retail price. When we asked for explanation the reasonwas ?oh.. sorry it was a mistake. but we cannot change the price?. We had late breakfast, so there weren?t a lot of customers. Service was great, very polite and fast. Pancakes and waffles were... tasty and looked great. Dinner service was a bit slower (the restaurant was full). Salmon and mac&cheese were good, but nothingexciting. It was comparable to Cheese Cake Factory, but cost 1 tier higher. 20% service fee is automatically applied, which ismentioned in the menu, on one of checks, but if isn?t mentioned on the main check, so some people might miss it. For the high price, overall experience and meal were disappointing. It was a very, busy Sunday afternoon and no valet was... available upon our arrival (parking lot was jammed). I had halibut that was overcooked and my salad was mostly lettuce. Myfriend enjoyed his fish and chips, but only ate the fish. It is always a treat to be looking out at the water on a brilliant,sunny day, but we were seated inside at a window overlooking the outside bar/grill, so I saw a lot of smoke - ruined theambiance. Tables inside the restaurant were too close together and everything felt "tight." Service was good, not great. Really disappointed that there was no outside dining option (even though I made that request on my Open Table reservation andwas never called about it). The Alderbrook dock seemed to be the major draw and the hotel catered to that group; thus thebar/grill. Alderbrook is an easy 45 minute drive from my home, but not sure I will return...prefer to spend time and moneytrying different restaurants in Seattle. Read more

We had breakfast while heading back to Portland. We split the eggs Benedict and the hash wrap and both were good. The... complimentary pumpkin bread was excellent. The property is beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive. Read more

Good food, nice servers. Our group was there to celebrate 3 people's birthdays, we enjoyed the dishes very much. Their... vegetarian menu is small, so I ordered 2 sides which are grilled tofu and confit carrot, but they were put together nicely andlooked like one pretty dish. They also brought out 3 complimentary ice cream for us. The service fee is included in the book perresort's policy. Read more
