Ordered my meal at drive thru...bout 4 mins to get my food and didn't think that was bad....but kid said back with your root... beer....and didn't come back. Another older guy came after 15 more mins and asked if I've been helped. Then got my root beer. Myonion rings were so greasy it soaked in my bag...the breading wouldn't stick to my under cooked onions. Couldn't even eat them.The sandwich was ok....but thought I'd get more than 1 little piece of bacon on my bacon double cheeseburger...was defiantly notimpressed at all! Doubt I eat there again! I was excited to eat at this place as we ate there last season. We drove all the way from greenville. The ordering speaker was... so low the girl couldn't hear us and we had to scream our order 2 or 3 times. They didn't have diet root beer. After finallygetting our order through we waited 30 minutes for our food to come out (we were the only people there??). The "pizza burger"was two patties with a piece of mozzarella cheese between & 3 pickles. The cheese curds weren't done & tasted of oil. The onionrings had soaked oil taste. The root beer was water with a small amount of root beer carbonated. Very disappointing I won't beback. Read more
New owners just took over and opened today. Everything was great. The menu has changed a little bit but they are only getting... started. They are now serving breakfast from 9-11am, with some breakfast items all day. Bears Rootbeer is back and doing great! Read more
I visted here when I was 1 and then when I was a bit older but hadn't been back since. My family is local to the area. We were... up from VA for my dad's memorial service this weekend. We'd usually go to this A&W each time after we visited Lisbon cemeteryright off Deer field road. I remembered as a young girl the bear that spins with the classic mug which hangs high on a pole.Also, the frosted mugs with there famous rootbeer floats. My favorite! Freedom a&w :)....had a wonderful experience on the border between ohio and Indiana. Took my mom and brother out to eat and... they recommended freedoms a&w. I had the double bacon burger and fries and my mom and brother had the fish sandwich and onionrings . The crew were attentive and courteous. We had our food within 5 minutes and it was delicious! This food is literally the exact food they serve at the highschool. This is not higher quality than a Wendy's or a Hardee's and... plus you got our order wrong and I'm not turning anyone against just stating facts. Read more
