Treating my staff to lunch so we picked up some Italian. I ordered it online. Went there to pick it up. I waited for about five... minutes. Staff was friendly. The lobby area did have kind of a stale smell. I ordered eggplant, Parmesan, chicken, Limon, withspaghetti, marinara, salmon, with broccoli, chicken parmigiana with fettuccine Alfredo and garlic bread. The chicken Limon hadno flavor definitely missing salt. Everyone said their food was good just lacking flavors. I’ve dined here and it’sdefinitely a cool experience, but need to step up on seasoning. Great tasting food! What's referred to as small menu items can easily feed 3 to 4 people (which, thankfully, our server told us... about before we ordered). Service was very good. Nice atmosphere. NOTE: A large part of the dining area is upstairs (2 flights)- if there was an elevator it wasn't mentioned - our greeter just took the stairs. Read more

My family and I stopped in for a quick bite while visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. Typically with kids it’s hard to find... a eatery they all enjoy. Luckily Buca has something for everyone. We ordered the appetizer Buca Trio Platter that came withfried calamari, spicy shrimp, and mozzarella sticks as well as bread sticks. Unfortunately, my hungry munchkins tore into theappetizer’s before I could snap a quick pic. For dinner we went with a large pepperoni pizza, always a crowd pleaser. We alsowent with a small order of chicken parmigiana, and a large spaghetti to all share. The food was decent, nothing to memorable forthe price point. We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was a 40 minute wait which was ok we were able to walk around and shop... while we waited. Our server was great so was our meal. This location taste way better than any other location we've eaten at.All of them are good but this one tasted the best. Great atmosphere in this place! The food tastes AWESOME. There's cool pictures all over the walls. You might get lost inside... this place and there are a lot of stairs but I liked that part. They didn't have their lunch menu available so we had to orderfamily style. The small dishes serve 3 people and the large serve 5. Really tasty pasta, chicken parmesan, shrimp, and garlicbread. Yo7 HAVE to eat here if you're going to Universal. Make sure you call ahead and make a reservation though, you could havea long wait. Read more
