My Daughter and I ate at Pho 4 Star on Sunday. I was going to have the delicious pho again, but I decided to change it up. The... food is predominantly Vietnamese, but they also have Thai, a little Chinese, and Filipino lumpia. Our appetizer of spring rollsand lumpia was perfectly prepared! I had the grilled beef and shrimp. The beef was tender and shrimp was very tasty. I tasted alittle of my Daughter's vermicelli bowl that had a nice and savory sauce. The Chinese doughnuts were crisp on the outside withgreat texture on the inside. Everything was delicious! Our cashier named Non was very attentive and professional. I love theambience there. They have a large menu - so many choices! There were only a few customers when we arrived, but it was crowdedwhen we left. We will definitely visit again! Read more

For a little extra money, instead of going to Panda Express you can vet authentic ?asian?/Vietnamese food. Looking in the... kitchen its all made with passion. And no gloves ????. But its a very clean establishment with great tasting food, kind workers,and a atmosphere like no other. Right when you walk in you know this place is different then mort. Service needs work but the food is decent. There was 4 people at the table. Each person received their order at a different... time. Some meals arrived 10 minutes after another meal. We were given our waters and teas after we got our food. My friendordered a beer but it never came. The spicy edamame was disappointing. It was just regular edamame with chili paste on top. We give it a try again , since is Sunday. We ordered a Triple delight with noodles or lomein....we got white rice instead, hard... to find the meat, I add a photo , so you can see, I expect more, vegetables were very hard inedible and lack of flavor.....verydisappointed...the other order was a combo fried rice with beef and chicken, which play hide and seek very good, so rice win.The last one was shaking beef, and less say was edible. This is my first time here. Plenty of parking and close to military base. I had the Bun Bo A (don?t quote me on the spelling).... The broth was decent with hint of sweetness. The pork meat on the other hand tasted like freezer burned and wasn?t cooked longenough to have it just fall off the bone. I won?t order the soup again. They did well with the Pho. Visited here pho the first time, and wasn't disappointed. Food was good, and staff was helpful and seemed genuinely eager to... satisfy. Asked for something a little spicier and after thinking server forgot about me, he came back with diced up Thaichilies! ???????????????? I'll definitely be back to try other items. Thanks again. Ate here on September 27, 2021. The location in New Braunfels was just as good of an experience. But I?ll be honest that this is... the best Chicken Pad Thai I?ve ever eaten. If you?re in the Live Oak/Universal City area, don?t overlook this restaurant. It?s areally feel good location and the food has a great Spirit. Highly recommended. Read more
