This is my go-to for my fish and chips. A lot of places "do" fish and chips, but I find even the surprisingly highly-rated ones... are still half batter... These are among best, and very consistent. I've also had the fish and chips at the Katch Seafood inHalifax mall, and there is a difference. These guys just do something better. Update: October 3022 - owner reached out and gets his customers mixed up cause we definitely never called about the donairs or... whatever he is ranting about. It?s okay. I?ll never go here again Thanks for that what the eff is going on??! Ordered forpickup on Sunday October 23 For $65 dollars we got the saddest cheese pizza (like a Highschool cafeteria pizza is better)garlic fingers that had no garlic and 2 donairs which Were NOT donairs The first red flag was the call - this really shouldhave been my sign to give up on this place - get asked if I wanted a donair pizza or poutine and I kept saying a ?donair with apita with the works? and they had no idea what a donair was - 2 hard pitas with microwaved donair meat no topping no sauce The2 guys working there obviously had zero clue as to what was going on The ?chef? was using his hands (no gloves) going from themicrowave to oven to handling the cheese without washing his hands - super gross Never again and I encourage you to do thesame. I hate leaving negative feedback, but I just feel like you guys shouldn?t be making sushi and should just stick to pizza and... other things. The sushi just isn?t good. I?ve had it twice(second time being the second chance) and it was just sodisappointing. The rice was over cooked mush both times. Worst donairs I?ve ever come across. Pita stale, it crumbled in my hands. Got a large and a small, the large had next to no meat... and the small was pretty well just a pita. $32 was way too much for such a tiny amount of bad food. The first time I ordered sushi here it was good. The second time, the avocado was as far from ripe as possible. Like eating an... apple. The rice was too dry to stick to the seaweed or itself and 80% didn't make the wrap back to seaweed, so they werentpossible to pick up without turning to a pile. I called and was told there's a new guy training in the kitchen and he doesn'tknow, that's totally fine and I understand, but why do I have to pay for his training? They said a manager would call mebecause there was none there, but I haven't gotten any contact. Very disappointing. Reply to response: So upon acknowledgingthe avocado wasn't suitable for consumption, your response is.... Oops? If I was sitting in the place I would hand it back fora full refund. 2021 - Tried the poke bowl. Ordering system definitely a first as you complete a form on a clip board. Poke bowl was OK for a... fast-food pizza store but costs the same as a quality poke bowl you get at a sushi restaurant ($8 for the bowl and most toppings$6). I also found a shrimp shell in my bowl which wasn't super as it was a salmon bowl. The rice was regular white rice, not thesticky rice you would expect so not sure how the sushi would be there. The store was definitely spruced up since I was in last(2019). 2019 - Tried the pizza here, definitely much better options available around. The store was unkept and in desperateneed of maintenance.
