This place became a full on restaurant. Before it was more of a “order here” and “pick up there,” but now they have... updated and upgraded their menu. Changed the interior to be more of a dine-in and it’s all wonderful. Lovely food, interestingdishes, great mixture of English and Southern flavors. Loved it. Gets busy during nice months, as everyone wants to come, makesure you make a reservation, and be ready to wait a little. But, it’s worth it. Read more

Food was very tasty, very interesting place to eat. We ate inside but the outside is perfect - covered, good for bringing your... doggos. Server was attentive and knowledgeable. Definitely would come here again Read more

I've driven by this place many times and always wanted to try it out. Finally did it. The Tavern and landscaping are very... pleasant. Unfortunately lots of flies inside. We we're constantly swatting them away during our meal. My wife and I both hadfish and chips. For $22 (each) I was hoping to be blown away. I wasn't. It wasnt bad but wasn't exceptional. My wife asked tohave her mashed peas substituted for a small salad. Instead they took away her fries (chips) in place of the salad. And shestill had mashed peas on the plate. She mentioned this to the waiter and it seemed like he was coming back with fries. Theynever came. Overall we were underwhelmed and will not be returning. Read more

Excellent food, great service and a very cozy, comforting ambiance. The building itself is more than 250 years old, but well... maintained and presented with a small pub in front and multiple small dining rooms throughout the first two floors. The servicewas exceptional with the wait staff even engaging the kids. The shepard's pie was delicious and well prepared, and not such alarge portion that it is uncomfortable to finish as is sometimes the case with that dish. The Smoking Hunter cocktail, seecocktail menu, was also delicious and well presented. Overall a great experience, well worth the trip out. We are lookingforward to returning to try different dishes. After a hike with friends we stopped here for a few drinks and food. The calamari was perfect, had the perfect crunch just the... way I like it. The country fried steak ???? was great. What made things perfect was how nice everyone was especially ourserver. I highly recommend you check this place out if you are in the area. Follow my IG @Ventura.Ventures Read more

18th century style dining inside with covered tables available outside when the weather is appropriate. French fries were... freshly cut and tasty along with the sandwich. Also had the stew which was hearty but, not oversized and just right. Goodselection of soft drinks and beers. Service was attentive and not overbearing. Only sore spot was the artichoke dipappetizer. Way too much cheese added making it more like a cheese dip. Chips that came along were also stale. Overall, anice lunch in a historic setting and pleasant little town. Read more
