This place was the licious and stuart and i loved it the lot. Stuart (my boyfriend) brought me to here because he was wanting... some bar b then q which he loves of course. up on our arrivel i was greetid with the glowing sign of the porgy. and we eachordered a woah nelly which is a sausage with brisk it and bar b then q sauce. i ordered mine with miled sauce and stuarts wasordered with spicey sauce. After we?re done ordering we looked for a place to sit at and they had a lot of choices. you couldsit outside but also inside. thanks to my influencer statis we got the best seat in the house. i also got a pickle on the side.our woah nelleys were so the licious and we could not get enough. my pickle was also the best one i?ve had and the barb then qsauce on both of the sausages were so good and yummy. overall i give lil porgys a 10/10 because it was good and yeah Read more
Made a catering order all the way from Colorado Springs to be ready two days after our arrival for a family get together. Was... not disappointed. Food was ready and hot and they even place it in the car for us. Very friendly staff. Nothing but complimentsabout the ribs, corn on the Cob, pork and beans, and the Cole slaw was on point. Porgys used to be so good and quality has gone down. The pork sandwich was very dry; shrimp and polish sandwich was good.... Portion size has gone down and they used to include a pickle and hand wipes. Now the pickle is extra. From my perspective I?drather they charge a bit more and take it back what it used to be; the best BBQ in C-U. The bbq sauce was excellent. Read more
This was my first time eating here. I had the brisket sandwich with extra hot BBQ sauce. The sauce had a great taste and I was... pleasantly surprised that it actually had some heat to it. It's not as hot as I usually like but for fast food it was hotterthan most. With friendly service and great food I'd definitely recommend you giving it a try at least once. Read more
Saw there were good reviews but the food wasn't that great. Maybe it was an off day. The sauce was good though. Had the beef... brisket sandwich which was on special. It was dry and didn't have any flavor. Potato salad side was also bland. I'm bummedbecause I love BBQ. Pickle was good. Read more
Been eating here for years. So glad they reopened after the fire. Tastes the same as always, excellent! Had the Thursday pork... sandwich and fries special with mix bbq sauce. Oh the memories from when I was a kid. Give it try, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!! Read more
This is our favorite place to get ribs - I didn't understand what the fuss was about ribs before having some of these! You can... buy pints or quarts of the sauce, which we do for when my husband smokes pork shoulders or ribs at home, and we always have somein the fridge for when we get some pulled pork out of the freezer. I like the mild, he likes the mixed. And I'm not the biggestfan of BBQ, so it's nice to have found a place we can both enjoy. It more tomato-y than the vinegar-heavy southern style sauce,but that's how we like it. Great price too! Just popped in for the first time since they reopened to get some more sauce, andthe new seating area is nice! You still have to mind how you exit the dining area (you can only get to the door from one side ofthe dining area), which is a quirk of the building, but part of me is happy that hasn't changed. What happened? I've eaten here many times over the last twenty years, and this was the worst tub of tips that we've ever... received. They were hard, dried out and flavorless. The ribs weren't any better. I ate one rib and pitched the other five. Imissed seeing the meat cooking on wood. Read more
