Cracker Barrel was so busy. We noticed Steak and Shake dining room open. We ordered at the kiosk. The food was ready right away.... Got single steakburger combos. The banana milkshake was great. Total bill with tip was under $10 per person. Read more
Went here after taking a difficult exam looking to get some food late at night after. It was about 9pm, and I ordered a sandwich... and fries. The girl sounded frantic over the speaker like she was multitasking something, and did not double check to ensure theaccuracy of my order before I came to the window. After I had paid, I received the wrong food and pulled back around. When Icame to the speaker, I was told "sorry" for messing up my order and to pull around to the window. I was greeted by an extremelyrude brunette with her AirPods in, which I found very unprofessional. She told me that since her coworker had misheard me and Ihad already paid for it, she couldn't give me the right food. I explained I have an allergy to onions and that the burger I hadasked for doesn't have onions. She said she couldn't refund me either, so I took action on the website. For starters if you look at the photo you'll see that they have hand crafted: hand dipped milk shakes all natural, no... preservatives. This is incorrect they have now machined AKA soft served ice cream with syrup which if anybody knows anythingabout syrup it's all preserved there's nothing real about it. The next thing I would like to talk about is they no longer havetheir chili juice which is what makes her chili Mac really good, in my opinion! I have never been more disappointed in my life Inormally every time I write a review it's a good and positive one it's a shame that I have to write a negative one for a placethat I've gone to ever since I was a kid. ???? We waited for almost an hour for our food (50 minutes). We were never served and we had 2 small kids with us. We went up to... the counter and canceled our order and requested a refund be put back on our card. The manager was not sure how to do a refundwithout calling for assistance. However, after a long period of time, she came back and assured us that it may take a few days,but the total amount of purchase had been refunded. Yet, 7 days later, there is no refund to the card. We are filing a claimwith our credit card company against your store (and possibly a police report against the manager who assured us she had done arefund when she clearly hadn't, if deemed necessary). Coming from out of town exhausted and ready for some warm chilly. (From which you can ONLY order your food from a kiosk even for... dining in) Spent $60+ on chilly and shakes, a few kids meals. Our super picky eaters wouldn't eat their hot dog or fries withoutketchup "no packets avaliable". Then the whole reason for even coming was the chilly. They had no crackers at all, not posted orany type of crackers. Total waste of money as we won't eat without crackers. Tossed the chilly as we left. Hoping to eat theonion rings absolutely disgusting (soggy and mushy) Also received a random extra hamburger that we didn't order. Staff will justlet you know after you order and receive your food that they are out of all condiments to even enjoy your food. I would notrecommend stopping here for a great experience. Read more
Couldn't wait for indoor seating to reopen. Was so disappointed. You have become another fast food restaurant. We were there at... noon and only 4 other tables were occupied. Miss the personal touch.. waitresses... bar and bar stools. Nostalgia is what peopleliked. Steak n' Shake is no longer the same!????????? Read more
Update: THEY DON'T HAVE WAITERS/WAITRESSES ANYMORE!! I tried Steak and Shake again, after the majority of the pandemic had... passed. I walked in the Steak and Shake to find that you now have to place your own order for food on an electronic kiosk, fillyour own drinks, go get your own food from the counter whenever they get it ready and clean up your table when you're doneeating. This wouldn't be so bad if Steak and Shake had adjusted their prices to reflect the customer doing everything exceptliterally cooking their own food, but I think their prices even went up a little bit. I live in an area where there are multiplesteak and shakes and one Freddy's steakburger restaurant. Whenever I want a steak burger or similar food, Freddy's will now bemy only choice. Original review: I called ahead to pick up my order because I had limited time, when I get there they knewabout my order but hadn't made it yet. There was one customer in the restaurant at the time. My family came here thinking it would be a great time, and great food. Not only did we not get what we all ordered, but the... customer service was EXTREMELY unprofessional. The lady refused to make food after we offered to pay what he MISSED on ourorder. She had AirPods in, and rolling her eyes. I would never suggest anyone to come this restaurant after the terribleexperience. Not only was it?s expensive for just 1 burger but it didn?t taste worth the money?. Read more
